    Ernie was just cracking a joke. I guess that's the wrong thing to joke about for Rockets fans. I think he wanted to get in on the the whole free throw narrative fun. Ernie is much more friendly to the Rockets and Harden than most in the media. He was just messing around.

    It wasn't a particularly funny joke, if that was the intention. Would have went over better if he was ribbing the other teams as well. But basically praising the 4 other teams/players while focusing on Harden's free throw attempts as opposed to, I don't know, him averaging more points per game since Wilt Chamberlain, seemed kind of haterish to me. But, yeah, we all know in his personal life Ernie is a real swell guy. It's not about that.
