Ive noticed an increasing trend of media types “analyzing” the Harden step back. I was at a bar yesterday watching the game so I couldn’t hear but I saw them doing an analysis in-game on the step back and then counting the three steps.

They never include the zero step like most refs do when they analyze the move. They treat the first step as the “1” instead of the “0”. Was this the case yesterday for those who watched at home?

If you didn't hear the telecast, I'm sure you assumed they were analyzing the steps. I would have, too.

It was weird. They showed those pre-game, and one in-game. Mark Jackson and JVG just ignored the graphics of the 1, 2, 3, and didn't address it...just discussing Harden normally.

This was from an earlier video, yesterday, narrated by PJ Carlesimo, tweeted out by ESPN, which was roundly criticized as ignorant, if not propoganda, for it's attempt to show travels, when it really proved what Joe Borgia has been saying all along -- that it isn't a travel.

So, it was like ESPN was attempting to prompt Jackson and JVG to address the 1, 2, 3, and they simply ignored it. The ESPN graphics team even did one from the game, itself.
