Damn, I remember that game. It was on Sunday Night Football on ESPN. But for some reason, I don't remember the score. Can somebody remind me the score of the game between the Texans and Cowboys? Thank you in advance.
Apologies, I was off on that one. Duh. Cowboys definitely deserve to hear about that for long time -- that victory was the 1st of a new expansion since 1961. Yep, went and checked some history...
I think this is a good time to mention that, as I know a few top people in Cowboys management (pretty damn well, too), I can get Cowboys tickets to any home game for free. ... But, I'm a Texans fan, so I have absolutely ZERO use for them, except maybe as toilet paper. Oh, well. 19-10. (See ya'll at the Texans preseason game next week.)
Assuming I don't have school work or interviews, it'll make for a nice birthday trip for me. Duck Fallas.
Texans: Super Bowl Championships = 0 AFC Championships = 0 Playoff Appearances = 0 Division Championships = 0 Any Other Championships (ex. AFL) = 0
Let's look at the thread title. Cowboys will contend for SB guess what, the Texans will too. and 30 other teams. But ummm, Houston > Dallas. Cowboy players = heads and Texans = if that made any sense at all...
I don't think the Texans ever played in the AFL. It may be hard for the Dallas Cowboys to win a World Series when the Cowboys never won the American League, ya know? The Oilers were AFL Champions.
History. The Oilers/Titans have it. The Texans don't (19-10 hehe). If someone is going to point out the lack of postseason success of the Oilers/Titans, I'm going to point out the Texans goose egg. Correct me if I'm wrong, don't the Texans have the worst start for a expansion franchise since like the Vikings? Or is it the Bucs? Anyways I'm done on this thread. Carry on.
Now Max, you don't want to make the boy cry. Now my 6 year old daughter has been properly taught to pull for both the Texans and the Cowboys so there is no way she would end up disappointed if we went to the game.
If your argument is that it is pathetic for Texans fans to hold on to a 19-10 victory from 10 years ago, then don't come back with "Oh yeah?! Well we have 5 superbowls, how many do the Texans have?" Bringing up the playoff record of a team that has been in existence 4 years is equally pathetic. I love crying out "19-10" as much as any Texans fan, but I can see the argument against it by the Cowboys fans. Just don't retort with a weak argument like playoff record when the Texans weren't even around 4 years ago...it reeks of hypocrisy.
And on September 8, 2002, if the Cryboys had taken all that history to Jack in the Box with 99 cents, they could have gotten a couple of tacos. Sure didn't help them at Reliant that night. 19-10. Five years later and crybaby Cryboy fans STILL can't take it.
