Well, if you are going to go with Ancient History to compare the Baby Texans to the Cowboys, why don't you list the FIRST FOUR or MORE YEARS OF THEIR HISTORY...compared to the Texans FIRST four years.

    Taken from ABOUT.com
    http://football.about.com/cs/teamscowboys/a/bl_dalhistory.htm

COWBOYS (1960) Dallas is granted an NFL Franchise
    Ended its FIRST season 0-11-1

In fact it took them 5 years...in 1965 when they recorded their FIRST non-losing Season.

1966 was their FIRST winning season at 10-3-1

I think the Texans started out much better than the Cowboys it's first year.

Now let's go WAY back and talk about the Oilers First Four seasons.
1960 Oilers went 10-4 and won the AFL championship in its FIRST year.

Second year won the AFL Championship AGAIN.

Third year lost in a 6 Quarter game ending Field Goal 20-17 against the Dallas Texans (which became the KC Chiefs).

    Fourth year Oilers finished 4-10.

This of course if we are talking ANCIENT HISTORY. hehehe

    ;)

I love how Cowboy fans and even Yankee fans love to throw their championships and past glory. At the end of the day, it's what happens NOW that matters.

The only score that matters in the last four years...

How many Cowboy Superbowls have they won in the last 4 years? 0
How many Texans Superbowls have they won in the last 4 years? 0

How many Times have the Cowboys beaten the Texans in regular season play the last 4 years? 0
How many times have the Texans beaten the Cowboys? 1

I was at that first game and that was even better than the Superbowl IMO.
The game in Dallas this year will be great but it won't even compare with the excitement or the energy that Cowboy and Texan fans alike witnessed 4 years ago.

But so far, the only score I still see is Texans 1 - Cowboys 0.

I can't wait for this game I bought my tickets a few weeks back.

I experienced my first astros rangers game this year (in arlington) and that was a blast. Going back and forth talking crap about the rangers. It's going to be tough talking about the cowboys so if the expected happens and we get killed. I'll just start another D Wade Chant like I did in Arlington and cover my head. :D

I'll take the Redskins over the cowboys. Their defense is stacked and they IMO have a better reciever core than the cowboys. Cowboys should contend for the playoffs but I don't think they can touch Washington, Carolina, or Seattle. I'd put them 4th in the NFC.

Bla bla bla! Who cares??? The cowgirls have not won a superbowl in over a decade and as I recall if Larry Brown would not have been in position to intercept a pass and save the game, you all would not have won the 96 super bowl!

Comparing the Texans and Cowboys is ludicrous! The Texans have been existence for 4 years now, the Cowboys over 40 !

So yes, we, Texans fans will chirp over 19-10 for a long, long time because, we had no business winning that game. No one thought we would win it but ... it happened. Sorry, if its like a thorn in your side to hear it but hey like I care. Eat your humble pie and deal with it. :D

I think this meeting will be more appropriate. Because we can beat you all in that hole in the wall stinkhouse you call a stadium. I hope we beat you all so bad even God will say "dude, I need a triple espresso with bourbon this team (Dallas) still sucks! I'm late for my yoga class." :D

My only regret is this game will not be for a national audience only regional courtesy of CBS. If you all lose that game I bet half your half-baked, bandwaggoner 'wanna be' fans will bolt from the cowboy blue. That will be sweet!

The pressure is all on you my dear little cowgirls and we all know how good Bledsoe is with pressure. I'm licking my chops on this one! :p

I would not be booking those SB tickets if I was you. I think the S-Hawks will have more than something to say about that outcome.

You may win a wildcard on talent alone but, Bledsoe leading you all in the playoffs? I would be afraid, very afraid at that outcome.

Catch us if you can!

    ?????????

I could never see why ppl like football.
And haven't the cowboys been like a million times more successfull than the Texans? A team can beat anyone on any given day, I just don't understand why ppl make such a big deal over one game, especially if it's a regular season game that doesn't mean anything.

LOL, you don't understand how people can like football? A regular season game in the NFL is a much bigger deal than it is in the NBA or MLB. There are only 16 games a season, and we only play the Cowboys once every 4 years. Plus that was the Texans first game ever and we beat Dallas.

I've been to the superbowl and I was at the Texans first game against the Cowboys. The 2 don't even compare.

One regular season victory or a superbowl victory. Big difference.

The only score I see is Cowboys 5 Texans 0.

My point is... I want the Texans to do well and I'm not happy hanging on to a 19-10 regular season victory like its some type of major accomplishment. Last time I checked the Texans were 2-14 and going backwards. I hope they've turned it around but time will tell if Carr can lead or if he's just another middle of the road QB.

Because, its 'the hatfields and the mccoys'. This is an interstate rivalry. Unfortunately that only occurs every 4 years.

Dallas has their fickle, fair-weathered, need a grenade under their seat to forge a reaction while, H-Town has REAL fans!

With a REAL coach and a competitive squad, Reliant will once again be rocking! Now that dumbass Dom is gone.

You'll see when the highly favored cowgirls crash and burn before their fans.

You'll see what kind of fiber a cowgirl fan has. Not much.

Castor27, how long is it going to take you to move this to the hangout for Francis and RC Cola to have their fun, man? :(

Don't taint my Texans' forum with Cowgirl SHIZNIT.

You've skipped the entire first page. There's at least 4 posts with the score. Here's one more: 19-10, baby. :D

    Dude, here's another score:

    Cowgirls 40, Texans 4 !

It's ludicrous to compare the two franchises over SB. We havent even made the playoffs yet. Why because we've only been in existence for 4 years!

This is the typical intelligence of a cowgirl fan.

I mean c'mon guys it was only one game. Oh but it was on National TV and you did get beat by rookie QB with a collegiate-at best squad and oh yes, the cowgirls got lambasted everywhere from ESPN to Jim Rhome the next day about the choke job that went down in H-Town.

Even if you win this game upcoming this year. Really you can never erase this off the history books.

The Texans won 19-10 on national TV for their first ever win !

Y'all better hope you win this game. You think the stinkbomb came down after the game here, just wait ...

How will Parcells explain that one. The media will have a field-day with another classic collapse as no doubt the oddsmakers will probably hold the cowgirls with at least 10 pts being the favorite.

How will you all explain this one! This time it wont be our first but rather our fifth year.

If history repeats ... then the Texans may become playoff-bound and if somehow, Dallas isnt well then the level of stench from the **** spewed from those fair-weathered fans will be enormous.

Good luck cowgirls and remember, "it's only a game!"

Me too, dude I embrace this thought well. This time the collapse will be epic in their hole-in-the-wall sorry ass for an excuse for a stadium before their sorry-assed fans. Go Texans! Kick their ass!

Cowgirls will contend for the SB this year when pigs fly! Try the Panthers, Seahawks, Redskins oh how 'bout the Saints? Hey, it could happen. LOL.

Superbowl...regular season games...preseason games...WHO CARES!? All that matters is that I HATE THE COWBOYS more than any other professional team. I hate the Jazz, but that was because of Karla and Johnny Short Shorts. With the cowboys, I don't care who the players are, if they're wearing that damn star on they're head, they go in the trash as far as I'm concerned.

My second favorite team (behind the Texans) is who ever is playing the cowboys. If the Jazz were playing the cowboys, I'd pull for the Jazz.

Screw moving it...please delete this forum.

    Thanks.
