Oh please, he played well against the Celics who are a damn good defensive team. He played well in Golden State. He played well against the Spurs. He tore the Jazz a big one in Houston who are a very good defensive team.
10 turnovers in the Celtics game Horrible shooting and clutch performance in the GSW game Horrible clutch performance in the first SAS game Bad shooting against the first Jazz game who were missing many key players Not sure that qualifies for 'playing well' If Harden does that in the playoffs, we have no chance of winning against those teams
He was huge in the clutch in the Celtics game. Barring that silly offensive foul. We would have lost the game had it not been for his huge fourth. The warriors game was only his shooting. seriously do you watch any games?. His playmaking and getting his teammates open looks in the Warriors game was sublime.
Just like SA dominated the Rockets during reg season with Robinson being the MVP? what happened to that series ?
At best it was a mixed bag, a good game to me is more like decent shooting with less than 5 turnovers.
I think this is were your problem lies. Hakeem is a god and anything short of godlike charactherisics will never be good enough for you
no, more like Hakeem was always a strong playoff performer, in fact he played better in big games than in the regular season. Harden is kinda opposite which worries me.
I understand that Harden is far and away our best player and the one who should have the ball in his hand at the end of games. What I don't understand is that when it's under 2 mins remaining in a close game we revert back to our 2015 offense and just go strict iso-ball with Harden dribbling out 20 seconds of the shot clock before making a last second heave. We get directly away from what has caused our offensive success and go to playing hero ball. I have no problem when it's the last possession of the game - but we need to get out of that when we have several possessions left in my opinion.
This is so lame. You are using all the lames tricks in the book to place yourself in a position that cannot be criticized, which is pretty ironic considering how you are upset people aren't being critical enough of Harden. I mean, "If only Harden was Hakeem", seriously? You are deliberately putting the two together so that loyal Rockets fans have to agree with you and cannot be critical of your statement. Why don't you let Hakeem be part of the team's history instead of using him as your tool to criticize Harden. It's pathetic and shows how little respect you have for this team.
For someone that is so insistent of people being fair and objective of Harden, you sure do get really upset when you get called out. Are you Dwight Howard by any chance because that username makes sense.
You seem to specialize in missing the point, so I'll leave you be. Continue with your righteous crusade.
Tell u what, think of another active player in the NBA you would rather have running this team. Maybe that might relieve u of some of your concerns
I said the exact same thing in another thread, " Can John Lucas Talk to James Harden"?? You are dead on, however I think what makes Harden the player he is, is his creativity. I for one think he's a Top 3 player in the league, however in the 4th quarter, he has to resort to basic basketball. I don't think MDA wants to chastise him, so it has to come from someone the players respect.....John Lucas. Lucas was a PG and he has good relationships with all of the players, so I think it will resonate with Harden. I would Hate FOR US TO GET IN THE PLAYOFFS and he is doing the same things in the 4th quarter and it result in a loss....similar to what he did 2 yrs ago, against the Warriors in the playoffs...turning the ball over. We all know, in the 4th quarter, refs loose their whistles and defenses get tighter. He has to learn to tighten his dribble, make the safe pass and go to the basket with force!
Can't wait to see what comes first players only meeting or MDA sits down with harden for a serious talk. More corners being turned alright
