Word. I can't tell you how annoying it is. What's the best part is that we are all paying for it. Way to go Congress!!

Thirded. Soap operas are not entertaining, e-magazines are not entertaining, and this trash is not entertaining.

Number among those with "wadded panties". It's OK to be upset--even angry--about something when it's wrong. And it's wrong for Congress to invest an ounce of its resources on this. Wrong and stupid.

I agree completely...its also wrong that we invade and destroy a country because our leaders want oil and power. However, this is our government and we have no choice but to let them do their thing. In the meantime, one liar's life (Clemens or McNamee) is going to be turned upside down. May as well enjoy the ride, no matter how much of a waste of time it is for congress.

Incorrect. One of the foundational tenets of this country is each person has a voice and the freedom to use it. I communicate with my congressmen all the time. While a voice on an Internet BBS likes this makes precisely zero difference in the grand scheme, it doesn't nullify the belief behind the voice or the freedom exercised in expressing it.

No, I don't have to sit back and "enjoy the ride". No one has to sit back and nod in powerless, gutless assent to whatever government does if he doesn't believe it's within their Constitutionally defined duties.

We absolutely have a choice and we do not have to let them do their thing.

I have to credit this to mike lupica, and it may have been stated already, I'm not reading this whole thread, but who else did this guy implicate and did any of them say he is lying?

I think all of them that have been asked or commented have backed up McNamee.

And shockingly none of them are wasting their money on high priced attorney's fees.

And as I said the only winnner in this whole thing is Rusty Hardin.

We're all "enjoying the ride". It's called the Patriot Act. The most unconstitutional document ever.

Can we please stop with this absurd nonsense that because Clemens has enlisted the help of attorneys that this makes him guilty? You don't go and testify under oath in front of Congress without attorneys. You don't file lawsuits without attorneys.

Has any of the Gizmodo stuff touched you? Have you hired an attorney to help you out at all? Have you ever hired an attorney for anything? If so, what are you hiding? You're obviously guilty, right?

Agreed, but he hired the attorney before he even held a press conference and he made his rebuttals through them before he himself spoke.

LOL - I assume these are rhetorical questions, but I did indeed hire an attorney after Gizmondo, but only to sort out some IP issues. And if I took steroids, I did it wrong because I am only bulky in the middle.

and filed a defamation suit. the stakes were really high for roger. i think you can criticize him for a lot and make whatever assumptions you want to make....but assuming guilt because he hired an attorney makes no sense to me.

Geeez yourself. You're the one piping up about how we have to "enjoy the ride". Several of us here utterly disagree with Congress's involvement in this, and we're going to say so. Deal with it.

Considering he just got pimp-slapped by Henry Waxman and threatened with a possible felony witness intimidation charge - I doubt it. Hardin's flamboyancy continues to illustrate why a bombastic trial lawyer is really crappy at dealing with higher level white collar defense work, which requires a lot lower profile. He and Roger's mutual affinity for attention whoring ways have been their own worst enemy for months now.

It doesn’t make him guilty. However, can you really fault people for doubting a guy that has to do so much to get his story straight before he talks to anyone about what happened? To some, it can just make it seem like you have something to hide and need time to “say things the right way”.

Again, just another way folks come to their opinionated conclusion....because no one has any real proof......

only matched by McNamee's attorney who threw out the: "Clemens legacy will be impacted more by his DNA than his ERA."

you know he spent weeks coming up with that one.

Wait a second. McNamee has an attorney? Obviously he's hiding something and I'm gonna say it's lying about Roger Clemens. Why else would he need an attorney if he's telling the truth?!?!
