Injured McNair To Miss Pro Bowl

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Titans quarterback Steve McNair will miss the Pro Bowl because of pain in his throwing shoulder.

He had an MRI on Friday and most likely will see at least one specialist in the upcoming weeks. The possibility of surgery remains.

``We just want to see what's going on in there,'' coach Jeff Fisher said. ``He is having some discomfort.''

McNair missed some time in training camp because of soreness in his right shoulder that was thought to be tendinitis at the time.

McNair was invited to the Feb. 4 Pro Bowl as the AFC's alternate after Brian Griese of the Broncos pulled out because of shoulder surgery. Elvis Grbac of the Chiefs will replace McNair.

I know already. That bites, but at least he had the chance to decide for himself. Titans fans should check out Reeses's comments on all the wideouts. He makes it sound like Mason is going to be out of our price range. He also comments on how they are going to do some heavy research on the WR situation. If I were to guess we'll keep Thigpen if Mason leaves. If Mason stays, Thiggy is gone. Looks like Dyson will be a starter once he's healthy.

Oh good, Thiggy has played like 1 game in 2 years.

At least he was given the opportunity to be there. He really deserved it.
