Plus Jacksonville is a media blackhole, where Johnny can chase women and pound beers all he wants and not cause a s***storm.

I agree with the poster above about the Jags, they would purposely take him b/c they know we want him

Jacksonville could have signed Tebow and accomplished that faster than what Johnny could have done. And Johnny is right in our own backyard and it seems the majority of Texans fans don't want Johnny (some being the same experts that argued Schaub was an elite QB...lol..) _ so what makes you think Jacksonville will want him...????

This. They could have signed Tebow and didn't.

And you(not you Remii) might say "But, but but Tebow couldn't play football err throw a football!"

Right, and you're(again, not you Remii, ha) probably the same set of people who are saying Johnny is a gimmick, not very good, has no shot, so why does Jacksonville want Johnny? Again, they could have signed the local guy who couldn't play ball in Tebow and weren't interested.

Jacksonville is solely focused on taking the best player available. Caldwell is a very good GM and talent evaluator, they are on their way up. If he believes that Manziel is the best talent available at 3, then they will take him. It has nothing to do with getting fans in the seats, putting together a winning product will get them there.

For a fair trade, they'd also give us their 2nd round pick and probably a 3rd rounder next season.

    So basically, we'd have #4, #26, #33, and #35.

If we stay put, we take Teddy...if we trade down, best case is for Manziel to be there at #4. Then we can really take care of some needs by adding possibly 3 starters with the next three picks.

Why? I would like for the Texans to be able to pull it off, but I see no reason for Cleveland to make the trade.

    Bridgewater and #33

    Manziel, Amaro/ASJ, #33, #35

Option #2 could be fun either way I trust the crew to do the best thing for the franchise.

Cleveland needs a QB more than any team...they have 4 pro bowlers on offense, yet they can barely muster any wins. They have a very solid defense and very good pieces on offense...all they need is a QB.

If they had a good QB, they will be a tough team to play. If they believe Bridgewater is that guy, I'd bet they'd give the farm to get him (specially if they believe Manziel will be taken at 3).

you guys lack very simple logic. there isnt a clearcut #1 yet teams will want to unload their picks to us to draft who exactly?

No way as their franchise QB...they need a legit starter.

There might not be a clear cut #1 for you, but for there will be for many teams. Cleveland would most definitely be one of them...I can easily see them trading up for Teddy.

You can't really say that there's no #1 in the draft and want out of the top pick because of it and then turn around and expect anybody to give you anything decent in return for that pick.

Or it could work the other way where we value Teddy more than anything Cleveland would be willing to give up to move into our slot.

not to mention stl is looking to trade out as well. so teams looking to move up will have a bit of leverage. lets not get cute, take bridgewater..

It would be great if Bortles decides to stay that way there would only be two top tier QB's available. It would really force Cleveland to have to trade up. However he'll likely stay giving Cleveland a lot of leverage.

To all of you saying there isn't a clear cut #1 must be talking about QBs because clowney is a once every 10 years defensive prospect he is the clear cut number one player in this draft period
