Every team says that. It would take a RG3 type of deal for them to trade that top pick.

No it wouldn't, I think we would take much less than that for a trade down in this draft.
Obviously, how far you trade down factors into the price.

Could a decent QB be found at the bottom of the first? No Bridgewater, no Manziel, no Bortles, No Carr, so who would be left?

It would be something close to that deal.

What's the date underclassman have to declare by? Hundley is intriguing as a late first or early 2nd, especially if we can bring in a veteran to start for the new few years before handing the reins over to a groomed Hundley.

They have until the 15th to declare.

Take #4 and #26 from Cleveland, draft Manziel at #4.

Then you have #4 and the first pick in round 2. Take OL, LB. Reload.

Something along the lines of what St. Louis did with their pick would be nice.

I would be cautious of taking anything McNair, Smith or O'Brien says at face value at a time like this. Who knows what they're really thinking. Of course they likely want to keep their options open...the draft is over four months away. A stupid move on their part would be for them to show their hand (hence reducing any leverage they may have)...and I doubt any of them are anywhere near that dumb.

Also, let's not forget the media's role in this. Sometimes they will manufacture stories when there really isn't much concrete news there. A savvy front office will cleverly use and manipulate the media and news cycle to their advantage.

Only problem with this is that I think Jacksonville takes Johnny Football #3.

I think he's doing it to get Jacksonville's attention... They would give up their unborn children to get Teddy... Cleveland may stay where they are at...

Smith has already shown he likes to trade down... And O'Brien comes out the New England camp were that is all they do... That pick is as good as traded if they can find a taker...

All 4 of those guys probably won't go in the 1st round just like Geno fell to the 2nd last year and Barkley fell to the 4th. NFL teams draft how they want and not by Mel's and Tod's rankings. And those 4 may not be the overall best pro prospects once the smoke clears...

Every NFL team has been scouting Jimmy Garoppolo... He may be a guy that O'Brien likes that they can get outside of the first round. But it's alot of QBs in this draft.

Zach Mettenberger will probably be available in the early 2nd round.

Jacksonville is a perfect fit for JFF. They need excitement and to put fans in the seats given their fanbase issues, so it's a perfect team to take a chance on him and see if he can replicate his magic in the NFL. He instantly makes Jacksonville interesting, whether they are good or bad.
