Didn't McNabb kind of have two seasons: a bad one followed by a good one? The bifurcation seemed to be marked by Rush's termination. Interesting!
I can tell what one of your New Year's Resolutions was NOT... Didn't Rush's criticism of McNabb's performance date back to the latter half of last year, through this pre-season, and into the start of this season? Don't take my use of the word "season" literally. I'm just meaning to echo what Rush observed that McNabb has a long stretch as an under-performing QB. Certainly he rally turned it around; McNabb can play QB on my team any week of the season. FWIW, I didn't like Rush on that football show. He was in over his head, but so would be any fan-- even most ardent ones.
Not to mention McNabb was coming off an injury the year before. And a thumb injury to boot. Seems natural this would be a tuff year.
Compare that to McNair. I know that McNabb's broken leg was the most serious injury of them all, but McNair has had all those other injuries, I believe, and still performed at a fairly high level.
Sharing the MVP is bullsh!t. Just make up your damn minds. I hate when this happens. Just like when Francis/Brand won the rookie of the year awards.... Lame

I thought Jamal Lewis should have won. The guy broke the single game rushing mark and had the most rushing yards since Dickerson set the record in '84. The only other players to rush for 2,000 were OJ, Terrell Davis, Barry Sanders, and Dickerson. OK, Davis, and Sanders all won MVP's those years. But Dickerson didn't win it when he broke the record. Oh well.
im very happy for steve he earned it but payton made his case also....im just worried bout tmrws game against ravens, im a die hard titans fan and have nightmares bout ray ray...
While I was reading that I just realized that Steve is my favorite player in the NFL. I love his heart and his relentlessness. He's the grittiest of them all and he's very talented to boot. I can't remember when it was, but in one playoff game he was getting sacked by like 4 guys and he broke a couple tackles, knocked over a couple more wannabe tacklers and escaped for a clutch first down. Not to mention he was the first Oilers draftee I ever got excited about.
I guess that 27 russing TD's doesnt mean that much this year. McNair and Manning both had great years but Holmes got screwed.
