Nothing to do with Lebron just being superior at both ends of floor than anyone on the Thunder roster?

Let's see ... All the objective criticisms of McHale's coaching that he eventually adjusted to (at least for a while, with better results than before adjustment):

    - Play PG as PG, SG as SG
    - stagger Lin/Harden minutes
    - No Delfino at PF
    - Don't expect TD to run offense or play better defense than Lin
    - Don't let Delfino dribble or run fast breaks
    - Reduce Harden ISOs
    - Don't run Harden or Parsons to the ground by playing unnecessary minutes (or risk injury or reduction in performance, especially defensively)
    - Close with a strong 4 (we dont need stretch 4 to win, every game) and close with Asik for defense and rebounding
    - Play Terrence Jones (not TRob)
    - Rest Harden more so he can be accountable on defense as well (ok, McHale hasn't gone there yet)
    - Play Lin and Beverley together
    - Don't make Lin a corner 3pt shooter
    - No need to sit Lin for 12 minutes at a time, and Lin should in most situations play Lin to finish the game (Lin is 50% on FGs and 60%+ on FGs with 5 minutes left and games decided by +/- 5 points or something like that)
    - overplaying back-ups leads to diminishing returns; don't expect them to continue to build on a good run

When armchair sports fans can consistently call out what McHale had done poorly, in most cases so many games before he made the adjustments which actually did improve the team's play (not to mention McHale going back to the Harden iso-happy style a second time after the first 7 game losing streak), it's hard to take McHale's ability to coach 'in-game' too seriously.

    The list is really long.

Can't get outsmarted when you don't run any plays.

Scott brooks isn't any better than mchale. He's a putz.
Pop and Karl, in the other hand, are spectacular.

I'll add Tom Thibodeau to the list. Harden is the coach of the team, when he speaks and lashes out at McHale. Guess who will be exiting the team?!?!?!?

Scott Brooks may not be an elite coach but he is definitely a better coach than McHale. Scott coached his team to the NBA finals. Anybody with sense would take him over kevin.
