You know, there's a thread in the D&D about a fellow poster's ex-GF that I think you'd be just perfect for.
As per statistical research the win differential between the best head coach in the league (Phil Jackson) and the worst was under five (5) games. That is it. It will never be any greater than that.
during your statistical research, did you find the worst coach in the league winning 11 championships, or nah?
McHale has done a terrific job. I would never have imagined he would do this well when we hired him. This team needs stability. We need to stop trading out every player we get every two or three years, and we sure don't need to start doing it with the coaches, too. I also feel like our team played its best ball during the playoffs last year, though not in game 1.
you just got done saying the margin between the best coach and worst coach was only 5 games, which implies it's marginal if there's any impact at all.
Lowry was a third year player, who had averaged about 20 mpg his first three seasons. He doesn't belong in this group. Brooks played because Rafer couldn't shoot and we also had Mike James who stopped playing well after his new contract. Rockets went out and got Bobby Jackson in the second half of the season. I don't remember Landry's situation well...but this was all in RA's first year. He's well known for playing starters too long, usually his vets.
Mchale is gonna be a Scott Brooks type coach. Sure he has talent this season, and that has constituted into wins. But you gotta give him credit for providing leadership to our locker room. See why you have a hall of fame player as your coach you don't necessarily need "veteran" leadership in your locker room. Mchale is the veteran leader, and he will slap guys if they ****s around. The dude has the respect of the locker room, look at the knicks, they have a talented roster yet are a laughing stock because they don't have a coach who holds players accountable. And please cut the crap of Rick adleman. The guy is another Mike Dantoni system coach who fails to adapt with the league. That's why Minnesota' s roster is full of soft finesse players.
Was thinking about this. If freethrows are a problem, what can the coach need to do? Nothing? How about some practice?
You need to educate yourself and gain some perspective. Just not a good metaphor to make even as a joke.
I think he has 11 rings. 2 of them were as a player, no? Whoops... 11 as a coach plus 2 more as a player... My mistake. He has 13 rings. Wow I say.
That's precisely what I'm doing... Hence my few and far between posts in the GARM the past couple of months...
Nah, he ain't in the hot seat. We are still 4th in the west and our losing streak is to some of the best teams in the league. We are fine right now.
It would be nice This board doesn't have a search function so I have no clue what you posted I find it really hard to believe the difference between the best and worst coaches is only 5 wins
