+1 on this. Every time we lose a again i see a dumb thread appearing about how we should trade "someone", or how someone should get more minutes. Just enjoy the season!
mchale is full of bull**** mchale is full of bull****. the guy has been talking about defence and rebounding which the rockets havent shown in these 3 games. with adelman we knew what kind of team this was high offence with a struggling defence now i feel like the team has lost its identity. as much as i love scola and martin but they let in more points than they score. flynn should be shot in the head and let twill be back-up pg.
McHale also said that in order to have defense and rebounding, the best case scenario is to have twin towers to protect the paint. It's the fans that feel a player's worth is only made up of points scored and not defense. If you give McHale personnel that's just about scoring, then he's not going to have a good defensive team.
I wish Clutch would disable thread making after the game for like 30 minutes. This way people can cool off and collect there thoughts and quit making impulse threads.
Yeah but at what point is it no longer impulse. Who is to decide when its a long term yearly thing with the Rockets to be around a500 team every year?
Hello kneejerkers.... Coaching staff did not see the players during the lockout....so the preparation took 2 weeks to what is normally 2 months
3 years later at 500 is not a knee jerk. It might be considered slow to come around. It certainly is not a knee jerk by now of what our franchise currently is at.
In those 3 years we changed everything from players to head coach, had a lock out.... This is year one after Yao....officially I count from here on....
Ok but its been a while at 500. Knee jerk is when its your first year doing something. We have been doing this 500 basketball discussion for years now. Its only a matter on what moves and when are the new discussions. This should not be your solution or mine long term for this team to contend with. I think we can all agree there has to be some sort of change or direction. Mc Hale being part of that decision for the future is part of that.
I was just referring to the stupid threads made after every game. Yes, we have been mediocre for the last 3 seasons and I don't see this season being any different. But it's not for the lack of trying by management. I do not blame management like I think you are implying. Getting a superstar either through trade or drafts is extremely difficult as evident by all the other teams in the league that suck.
I can live with McHale....he might not be a HOFer like Phil, Adelman, Sloan with a philosophy but he can turn out to be good. Correct...for us fans this mediocrity is just brutal to watch I think we've discussed this whole tanking thing....and Morey already said it would be the easiest way but not the way the would go. As of now we have 3 borderline stars, a veteran, and the rest are young pups. The borderliners and the veteran are flawed and so are the young guns. The outlook is there....to develop young players but be competitive while doing it. We can actually do nothing except waiting for a trade and play on
Guys, a lot of good teams are having trouble starting off the season. Memphis is also 1-2. You all should calm down. You guys are so moody! Like women moody.
I can't understand why he kept Scola in there when he was playing that badly. It wasn't Gasol. Scola was just flat-out bad tonight. In a situation like that, let Pat-Pat, Hill, or Morris play. They can't be any worse.
