McHale needs to be careful or he's going to cause Lin to start second guessing his play. NBA players aren't as neurotic as baseball players, but they do need a routine, and starters expect a certain number of minutes. I just get the distinct impression there is more going on here than we know about.

There's something about this Mchale that I can't add up yet, something strange.

people are saying coaching don't affect games and it has been statistically proven... i would like to see the numbers and formula they used to come up with that.

using an extreme case, If Pop benched his starting line up and played his bench, wouldnt that affect the game results? So coaching does affect the outcome of a game does it not?

    Lin fans,

You folks need to stop worrying about Beverly getting all these minutes to close out the games as a PG.

Aaron brooks, once he gets some practice time, will be the closing the games for the Rockets as a PG.

    Cheer up! :)

Brooks is aawful defensively. If we have Harden & Brooks out there I will no for a fact McHale is off his rocker.

I am a Lin fan, I went from angry to super angry to don't care anymore. Sitting Lin (and Omer) the whole quarter when they played well up to before they sat, is just inexcusable. I am by no means a McHale hater, in fact, I always thought he's a pretty good coach... until this game. This game just clearly says he doesn't trust Lin.

But he makes his own bed. He will pay for it. Sitting both MOST of the 4th quarter would have been a major mistake... sitting both for WHOLE 4th quarter was indefensible, inexcusable. It clearly, directly contributed to the L. McHale doesn't like Lin, and Lin may not like McHale now, it doesn't matter, they don't have to like each other, because they sure as hell won't be together for a long time if this keeps happening.

Somebody has to go. If it's Lin who goes, I'll be happy for him, he'll thrive elsewhere. If it's McHale, then it's the right decision, and the Rockets are smart... because sitting 2 of your starters who at that point played very well for a backup (who didn't exactly play well) and a rookie who played solid (but still new to system, and shouldn't have got the green light yet to replace the starting C who had been there longer). This game is just indefensible and makes his coaching motive/ plan highly questionable.

When McHale is up for review at end of season, I guarantee Morey will specifically remember this game. I'm quite sure Morey believes in Lin and Asik as the future core of the franchise. They're good players. Would he want McHale back when he knows they will play weird minutes? Morey is very smart and he's an eagle who can spot a small bunny and this game is as big as elephant. This game will not go unnoticed. McHale will be held accountable.

welcome to the party, pal. :p

what gets me is that people want to make believe nothing is going on because Mchale publicly says he likes lin. We've seen it before with Klow..everything was fine. Luckily, lin is composed and disciplined.

I really do miss gogi, probably as much as mchale, just tired of all the board drama. Gogi had nice behind the back plays and never made reading the garm annoying.

You don't miss Gogi, you miss his Dynex, and that's OK.

You're the one who's trolling. BleedRed said he thinks McHale doesn't want him on the team because he doesn't think highly of him. Your mind equate that as McHale hates Lin. I didn't know if I didn't think highly of someone, I hate him. LMAO.

You're telling me I need to learn to read. Dude, how about you learn to read yourself.

If anyone thought McHale was going to take Beverly's minutes to give to Brooks are delusional. And trust me, it weren't us Lin fans. It is so funny reading around the garm and the internet how brooks and Beverly will fight it out. Funny.

If Coach does not affect games, please tell me how Phil Jackson won 11 championship with Bulls and Lakers. The team he picked is the same exact team as his predecessor

Why even wait until end of the season, fire McHale NOW. This way, Rockets will be in the playoff.

/Ignore him. They don't have anything better to counter with so they resort to making stuff up. It's been the trend this entire thread. They can't counter, don't have anything better to say, shown that they are making stuff up, they resort to name calling. All we are saying is McHale hates lin's games but they twist it to mean we think its personal and McHale is out to get Lin for some weird non bball twisted reasons, seriously? Even when other LOFs say McHale hates Lin, it is about how little McHale thinks of Lin's game. They need to accept this fact because it is becoming clearer and clearer.

Lin is the type of person that will get better because of this. He wil work on his weaknesses to improve so that they cant keep him off the floor soon.

The way Mchale using rotation and answering questions in interviews, i start to understand why Lowry doesn't want to be here. Asik/Lin are probably the most humble and nice guys in the NBA, otherwise it's gonna be ugly in locker room.
