The coach jumps in to play the point guard after we have got some glorious wins. Last time we have a 7 game losing stretch after Morey mentioned "coach of the year". Hopefully this time the coach stops doing that before it is too late.

Lol Lin didn't score 29 points or commit 9 turnovers against the Bucks. So Lin was trying to win this game huh? McHale should be happy with him now.

Bring the ball up sometimes, make the simple passes, limit the turnovers, shoot the occasional 3s, play D, never shoot more than the designated "star players"... just continue to do your best Mario Chamlers aka the championship winning PG impersonation. You are on your way, Jeremy!

i know you're joking but won't surprise if this was the conversation that mchale had with lin after this game. except he probably didn't like the behind-the-back pass very much. the "smart" play would've been giving it to harden who was right next to him.

I haven't heard Mchale take any responsibility for any of the losses. Its always on the players. I wonder where he'll pass the buck this time. Atleast Tmac said "its on me" (even though he didn't mean it).

It has nothing to do with Like. McHale will not hesitate for a nano second to bench anyone who isnt going by the team policey. He benched established vets in Martin and Lowry and even Scola was in his doghouse for a while. This season he even benched Harden in a game when he wasnt playing by team rules.

I'm sure the team has rules for bashing players in the media as well.

Sometimes coaches criticize players. Sometimes they even yell at them, Happens every day from middle schoolers up to the pros. From my experience the PG gets the brunt of it.

I just want to say that I saw James Harden was absolutely atrocious at the end of that game defensively and decision making wise on offense. I wonder if after James refused to pass the ball on that 2 on 1 breakaway near the very end of the game to Parsons if McHale will tell the press how Harden was trying to stat pad and wasnt interested in winning.

No problem with that, but I think the owner should also publicly embarrass the coach from time to time when he under performs (such as nonsensical substitution patterns, etc.). It would be awesome if Mauri did it, but he's not the boss of the coach.

no doubt about it. Mama there goes that man was mic'd up during that awesome game vs the spurs last week. In the huddle, during a time out in the final possessions, He said something to the tone of what you wrote that he was always getting the brunt of it from his head coaches.

The problem with mchale is he doesn't do it with everyone. Due to my baby momma and her spurs fandom (i know it's sad) I've been forced to watch spurs games thoroughly since 2004. Pop gave manu and parker hell equally, as they both drove him crazy.

But a good coach doesn't try to change their players from what they do best.

i think that was before the playoff. "its on me" means it would fail if he didn't take the team to win a series.

What does this have anything to do with McHale and Lin's relationship.

STOP MAKING THIS A HARDEN VS LIN DRAMA to try and victimize your hero.

This isn't NY anymore, and Harden isn't Melo. Just stop. If you want to create a thread about Harden's defense go ahead and do it. But stop trying to insinuate some kind of Lin victimization drama by making Harden the Enemy. Its pathetic.

Wow. I thought this was a "criticize Lin only" forum. Shame on you - you must be a LOF. ;)

(Just kidding). Why does Harden NEVER pass the ball on the fastbreak (well maybe once in a hundred)? He usually makes the shot so he gets away with it but it's not good for the team in the long run.

It's simple, McHale said that just to hate on Lin. He obviously don't like Lin scoring a lot of points or doing well in general (don't ask me why, but it sure does seem that way). Lin had one of his best games and McHale said this, lol. Lin scored 29 Pts. (%54), 6 Rebounds, 8 Ast., ONLY 3 TOs and a team WIN. McHale is like a LOH who exaggerated his flaw/TO just to hate on him - Hey Mchale Lin had 3 TO, why did you triple his TO in order to call him out?

Also, during McHale's post game interview he said so many great things about other players, BUT did not say ONE good thing about Lin after that awesome game, so how can anyone not see this or deny this hate.

I hope McHale is happy now that Lin had 9 pts, 5 pts and 10 pts the next 3 games after his recent good games; and 2 losses out of 3 games. McHale should know we have a better chance of winning if Harden AND LIN plays well - I'm so mad, can't believe we lost to the Wizards and the Bucks.

Lin should ignore Mchale and stay aggressive and take his shots; he is too unselfish not the other way around, so don't listen to that id**t.
