As far as the Chronicle, they're a joke. Solomon is bad. McClain lost his touch years ago. Feigen, as some have said, is a company man whose next breaking story will be his first.

It's despicable what the Chron has become since the days of Eddie Sefko and Robert Falkoff.

Someone needs to ask McHale why his rotations suck.

Nonsense? Never. When you consider who's playing in front of him. Nobody we have at SF has the skillset nor is a better overrall player than Marcus Morris. It's simple. Morris could've easily got "acquainted" in the preseason and playing spot minutes backing up Parsons. It makes absolutley no sense why he was even sent to the d-league after a relativley good preseason showing.

BOTTOM LINE: You dont send players who are already developed to the developmental league.

Huh? Parson's is STARTING as a rookie for us. Apparently we can afford to player rookies. Morris is a better player than Parson's and Budinger. The only reason he didnt get PT was because it was a COACH decision. If Mchale was a smart man, he'd play his best players at each position. But I guess that's why he sucked in Minnesota

I hope Solomon asks even more questions over and over like when are the rockets getting back in the playoffs? Why didn't you put Dalembert in again? Why was i hired as a journalist umm why were you hired as a coach in the nba?

Journalist ask tough question without a bias. Maybe the Rockets should put Solomon on the Rocket's payroll like Feigan

If only Solomon were actually a journalist. Solomon has always had bias (certainly towards Morey) color his "work" and if you tell yourself otherwise your aren't paying attention. Just look at some of the crap be has spouted in the past about T-Mac or calling out Morey personally.

I don't mind Solomon, he is fine, sure he is biased, but he asks harder questions than anyone else that covers the team.

At least he is not afraid of getting his press pass revoked, like Feigan etc.

What hard questions has Solomon been asking? Certainly, it isn't this silliness about Morros and the D-League. I don't recall him ever penning an article that broke news or posed hard, relevant questions in recent time. His schtick is to stir the pot, so I can see how that's fine to you because you like to stir the pot around here, but don't confuse pot-stirring for hard-hitting journalism.

Fair enough, but he was basically asking what value does the D-league have, and why would you send your pick down there when the team is struggling so badly?

At least that is how I read it.......

And yes, I like to stir the pot, and so does Jerome....he is on here you know....I sussed it out a few years ago....and we exchanged emails....hehehe.

I don't do Rockets PR and there's a reason you don't go very far on this board.

You didn't bold the part where I said he isn't in the rotation. It's simple math. You can argue he should be in the rotation, but if he's not in the rotation (and he isn't), he needs time. It's a fact that there is a lot less practice time this year than other years. Furthermore, the Rockets D-League affiliate is their true minor league team -- he is there to get time and develop specifically for the Rockets. I don't anticipate he will be there very long. He will be back this year and likely play this year (let's see what happens at the trade deadline). Yes, the Rockets have "big plans" for him... whether they are right or wrong about how he pans out will be determined, but that is indeed the case.

Kyrie Irving was a terrible example -- he is in the rotation. He was the #1 pick on a team without a point guard.

My frustration with management these days lies in team direction and I've been open for months the Rockets would have been better suited losing this season than winning. BUT, given they didn't do that, haven't made trades yet and Parsons has given them a boost defensively, I see no problem with sending Morris to the D-League. They were clear from the get-go it was a likely possibility. My interests in the Rockets are the future and so long as Morris isn't sitting on his ass doing nothing and is making strides somehow, I'm OK with it.

Fair questions? Yes. Were they making something out of nothing by beating it to death? Absolutely.

Not to get in the way of a good story, but Feigen is the author of the blog post. It was a transcript of the Q&A provided by Solomon. It's not Solomon's story.

Originally, the post said Solomon asked the questions. Then they updated it to read that Solomon asked "all but 3" of the questions. Then they updated it again -- now it just says:

As I posted here, I'm not sure if Solomon asked those questions.

I've now watched that video above and the beginning is edited out, but you can hear McHale making the joke about being worried about the D-League. It was Berman who was talking with McHale and making the joke that he wouldn't ask questions about the D-League this time. I would bet it was Berman who was looking for that story and Solomon got the transcription.

    Talent vs Skill

Do you not understand Morris is in the midst of a position change? & it's not going up a position where it would usually be to ones advantage but down a position. Allow Morris to get practical in game experience as a sf he has 131 minutes as of now, I could see another 300-330 more minutes which would be approximately 10-11 games & a solid foundation to build upon (landing him here roughly around March 16th a day after the trade deadline). He has the talent to out play Bud, Parsons, even T-will but that's not who he will be competing against. Not to mention sf is the most stacked & versatile position in the league. Let him get some confidence against sub-par competition at his new position & pray that correlates as motivation to outperform his competition in house & out on a consistent basis. If you ever read the 'Outliers' you know the principle of practical time usage & how it translates to success. If not reference chapter 2 page 35 for further understanding of the method management has chosen to use with Morris unlike CLE has with Irving or LA did with Griffin. Who both are playing their natural positions & don't need to develop their skill set.

That's not terribly surprising. You probably fashioned some type of diving rod capable of digging up BS. And we'd all be looney to think we're alone out here on CF, though I think in the past some folks have been honest/up front with who they are or represent.

    How about this angle:

Morey hiding talent away in the D-League to retain him after the trade deadline and keep him out of trade talks and deals.

I would not be the least bit surprised if Morris comes back right after the trade deadline.

Meanwhile, he is getting quality minutes carrying a D-League team and making the transition to SF.
