Nonsense, Tmac is a career 33.9% 3 pt shooter and last season shot 37.6% in 35 games. Ariza is a career 31.2% 3 pt shooter. Also worth remember that Tmac has constantly been double teamed in his career even on the perimeter whereas almost all of Ariza's 3s will have been wide open.
If Ariza's taking mostly wide open 3's and fast break dunks he should be shooting a lot better than 40%. He should also be turning the ball over less.
Fair enough. I rather have Tracy making plays as opposed to Ariza trying to create. No reason why we can't take advantage of both guys while we have them. Both can benefit from each other as well as the rest of the clique.
I think ideally, T-Mac steps into Ariza's current role and Ariza steps into Battier's current role. This gives us a much more versatile player at each position.

Battier and Chase off the bench and we don't lose that much offensively and defensively. Throw Landry in the mix and we actually look deep in some spots.
True, they can play very well off each other. Having McGrady back would be great from a basketball skill perspective. However, as we've seen historically, McGrady is a ball stopper. If he stops the ball too often, the movement stops. When the movement stops, the offense stops. Yes, we'd have McGrady, but the rest of the offense would stop. This would not be good. If McGrady's willing to integrate himself with the new system, I'll be glad to have his skills. If he's out to put him numbers for his next contract (see: Washington Wizards at 8 potential free agents all trying to strut their stuff to a 3-9 record), he should ride the pine.
I am a TMAC fan, and still is, I really want to see him lead us deep in the playoff, I love his game, but sometimes I don't really understand him. Last year, he annouced to have surgery before the team did, recently he annouced to play on the 18th. Now, he said that he will play this week. The dude should learn from his mistake.
Well,so far into this season, the biggest ball stopper right now on this team is Trevor Ariza. Yea,can't blame him for that tos he committed almost every game - travel, and that stemmed from his dribbling and he picked up the dribble and stopped in the middle of the bigs. From my perspective,he either shoots from behind the arc or drive the lane to attack the rim whilst committing those silly turnovers.
OK? I never said he didnt ever lie and exaggerate...And I dont trust him over the organization either...But he says in his blog It aint his decision and its for RA, DM, and Les to determine when he plays which is why I said it was a truthful non-biased side of the story not a rumor drug way out of propotion by all the propoganda the media causes.
It's 23rd now and maybe they just worked out a schedule for him to return behind the closed-doors. Who knew? But he definitely needs to shut up and play, let his performance do the talking.
he just shut up and let the team do all the talking. He just make it so hard to support him and be his fan.
Another point is if TMAC is in our future plan or not. If he's not, I would rather develop Ariza. That's ONE reason why NO one wants AI, even he can give you more productions than most players, he's part of no team's future.
I can't believe people are still believing the word according to TMAC. NO ONE in the rockets organization has confirmed TMAC playing this week, instead adelman and morey just a couple a days have said that TMAC is not there yet. This is same guy who said to the world that he'll be playing on the 18th, this is same guy who in a TV interview said that after taking two weeks to condition himself felt good and that he will have the LAST LAUGH. I am TMAC fan and but I just wish that he let the organization do the talking for him instead of him running his mouth off.
