He looks as lazy as ever to me. Granted some of that could be him holding back...

I have not watched the video but from the looks of some of the posts in this thread it is a promising sign of McGrady's comeback. Let's go!

Well if you look at the competition he's playing with too though, I think they're all just there to get a little cardio in, not get some amazing highlight reel type facial dunks or anything like that. This could've also been t-mac basketball camp and he could've been just playing around with guys who were rehabbing there with him.

The video was promising but in my opinion the pictures of him with wade are far more promising, I hope Wade has been around t-mac a little this summer to give him some positive influence and maybe even work with him a little on and off the court, If we can get a t-mac who is capable of playing 1 on 1 with wade back theennnn I will be very happy. Then maybe t-mac could convince wade to come here next year!

This video is very promising ( like other reports from the summer ) but I do not understand how everyone assumes he will be back in November for sure.
How do you know that? Let's see if he is even at training camp.

um if I was coming off of major surgery and on a contract year, I'd be damn careful not to get over zealous especially at a non-nba sanctioned pick up game. Time to chill out people. I'd rather he come back later than rushing. Not like we're going to compete this season without Yao.

    You can't blame the guy.

i dont get you people hating on tmac right now

i am not a huge fan of his at all considering all that he did last year but he was hurt not denying that I just absolutely hated the way he went about it all last season totally unprofessional.

he looks to be doing well the sooner he gets 100% the better it is for the rockets either on the floor or via a trade I dont see why anyone would not want him to be back to the tmac of 04-05 asap

I saw absolutely nothing in that video to convince me that he'll be any better than last year. Maybe the posts here just got my hopes up.

I won't be impressed until I see him doing things he couldn't do last year like beating the double and easily making athletic movements to the basket.

These days I do kind understand how T-mac might feet last year. I had carpal tunnel like syndrome on my arm. Doc said I should rest my arm and let it heal. But the itching and tickling feel all day/night long just drive me nuts. I am really considering surgery to fix it once for all. Just saying.

I am excited to hear T-mac to get back in shape. It is always a good news to hear player in you team can play.

People hate injured players. Last summer Tmac was one of our big three, a building block for a championship. The anticipation was off the charts because people were expecting (hoping for?) a healthy Tmac. Now he's an albatross because people are tired of year after year of injury.

Ours is not the only fanbase that does this. Grant Hill and Allan Houston were hated by their team's fans despite being completely professional throughout their careers. Meanwhile, Kobe whines about his teammates not being good enough, demands a trade the next year, and yet everyone is all over his jock. If you're good no one cares how you act. Tmac is no longer good, thus the hate.

shaq and hakeem and all those guys who played up at the y back in the day in mo city and lifetime in sugarland never played hard, too risky to get injured

its like here at texas i play with football players in the offseason, but most of them don't play hard, they stand out there get rebounds and shoot 3s, to risky to get hurt and miss out on an opportunity to get paid to play a game,

haha side note: ... this is coming live im in class a research methods in government class, and he just used hakeem as a reference for an example, something about him leading his team to 130 pts and such

who are you to make these judgements? what constitutes good? he is better than you, he still has skill, his body may not allow him to do crazy athletic things, but with no pain do you not think tmac can be good? he is a great passer still, that makes him good. he's a decent shooter, isn't that still good? he MAY not be the elite player he once was, but he certainly is still good, all he needs is some pills...not seriously, but he does need to be painless to show everyone he still has it

im just making judgment from personal experience, common sense, and what i see from reports. you can believe whatever you want, but you can not just make such a general statement that he is no longer good without qualifying and defending your position

I saw him dunk the ball on Kevin Garnett in the Celtics game last year limping around on one leg. We probably won't see the old Tracy, but anything close to the old T-Mac is probably better that what the rockets currently have.

u r looking for stuff to early, even though he is ahead of schedule, y not notice the fact that he isnt limping around, i think most of it is just rust, and try to remeber its a warm up game. i didnt think he got the ball enough to tell from anything

He looks good. I have heard rumors that Antoine Walker looks like he is in the best shape of his career...

There was a time when he could play ball...

I feel you, not very impressive at all from a basketball standpoint, i mean can you say one on one on one on one on one basketball, " if you get the ball, shoot it!". i mean, he's not walking with a limp so that's a good sign, but he i still just lazily walking up a down the court, wow, it's like a sad flash back to exactly the same way he played before he was ahem... hurt. I don't know how old this video is but a was definately more optimistic before i saw him basically play as poorly as all of the scrubs around him in this video.
