yes he played good when Yao was out last year during the regular season...woooooooohooooooo, let's have a party!!!!....years from now we will all tell our kids how Tmac was one of the greatest ever, because he did what superstars do and stepped up for a 30 game stretch without another key piece............

    hmm those arent bad numbers

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/fc/pgl.cgi?player=mcgratr01&year=2007

imo if Yao would of stepped up a little then the Roxs would of won easily.
I mean look at okurs quote about Yao being easy to guard because hes predictable.

Do you think they were good enough to take the championship away from Miami in 05 or San Antonio in 07?

Only one team wins every year. The Rockets have been in the mix with Tracy in a way they were not with Steve Francis

He's been money all the other times we've been without Yao. Personally, I need him to be the best he's ever been as a Rocket and get us into the second round for me to want him to stick around past this year.

I know that's harsh, but I'm tired of this broken record.

    Rowdie Brandon-

T-Mac has averaged 29/6/6 in the playoffs for his career, which makes him the 4th highest playoff PPG scorer in NBA history. The guy has been incredible in the playoffs despite not getting to the 2nd round (outside of maybe 3-5 other players, I don't think anyone in the league could have done more with those teams that T-Mac helped lead to the post season).

And in order to get to the post season, you need to play all 82 regular season games, and right now we are 3 games from being the #1 team in the West, and 3 games away from being out of the playoffs. Instead of being a pessimist, get on the bandwagon and hope T-Mac and the Rockets can do what they did without Yao last year and give themselves a shot in the post season (as the Warriors showed last year, as long as you can get there, anything is possible).

What's up with all these negativities? It' s the most difficult time for our team right now and as fans we should at least show some support for our guys. Tmac, I have faith in you and I always do.

again how come am I a "pessimist" because I have an opinion (backed up by facts of my own) that this team will never do anything of any "importance" with these 2?.......I'm not a "bandwagon" fan, I cheer for my team and "hope" they do good, but I have common basketball sense that tells me "we're doomed".........

hey, if you look back a couple of pages. I never said anything to you. You were the one that started all this. I was just agreeing with RowdieBrandon. Defending Tmac at first instinct........ acting like his boyfriend.

Its funny how some players luck out like ie Dwade. He would of probably end up like Tmac if Shaq never went to Miami. The image of Wade is of a winner but look at the Heats now after Shaq left.

Did you have the same opinion when Yao was drafted and when Tmac was acquired?

You have an opinion backed up by facts...what facts? That T-Mac hasn't made it past the first round? Neither has Kobe without arguably the gratest center of all time by his side. T-Mac has been incredible each year in the post season, and has led crap teams to above .500 records during the regular season before. Outside of LeBron and Kobe, nobody has consistently carried a team as well as T-Mac has in the last 7-8 years with such little help. KG has had about 3 consecutive losing seasons before entering this season with the Celts. Wade's team currently has 9 wins. Before last season AI hadn't been in the post season for about 3 years.

T-Mac can carry a team just fine, and he performs exceptionally well in the post season. Stop acting like losing Yao is the end of the world, and realize that we have another star on the team who is perfectly capable of carrying this team into the playoffs and performing incredibly well once he gets there.
