How do you think your ankle would feel if a 310 pound guy fell on it?

x-rays were negative, that is a good sign.

We play on Tuesday which gives him 3 more days to rest. Hopefully Mac will be back against Chicago.

Why do we want him back? Do you like losing?

Yes, we love losing with honour and prestige. Without him we win without reputation. :D

    Because we beat freaking Warriors?

We need McGrady if we even thing about the playoffs. We need that big 3 healthly and playing well together (especially Ron witm T-Mac).

Ron is not gonna be on fire every single game...

Aaron is not gonna score 22 every single game...

We are not gonna face Warriors every single game...

All valid points, yet I think the overall point is that you see what we can do without T-Mac at times. Now, not all the time is a great result, but there's a certain fire there even when we lose without t-mac that's missing from when he's playing right now.

Replace McGrady with a star without injury histories and combine him with Artest/another solid player/ + Yao = championship without health problems.

    Aristotle has spoken.

It definitely is, lol. We are what we are right now though and that's a team with McGrady on the books until 2010 and Artest as well. Yao is going to be locked up for life, so that's a good deal. Yet, we'll see. If McGrady and Artest can't produce this year, I doubt we bring McGrady back for much at all (if we do) in 2010.

The formula is fairly straightforward though regardless of who's playing. You either need a dynamic duo with a great bench or a well-balanced trio to be consistently successful in the playoffs. We have the trio, yet we don't have the health. At the end of this year, it could be time to replace 2 members of that trio. That's easier said than done, but I think we're an attractive enough franchise to at least score 1 star in the 2010 sweepstakes and maybe just have a good bench with it.

2010? Dang, who cares? This team is built for NOW. If we don't show anything this year it will be a big dissapointment and changes will be needed even this offseason.

Looks like we are getting healthly (hopefully). We will see how it works out.

well balanced trio? the celtics have a sharpshooter, a defensive stopper and a big play specialist. thats balance. we have a center with really no shotblock threat, and two below average jumpshooters

i hate garnett.. but he is just so much better densively than yao.. he moves his feet and he is quick and has long arms.. at the same time i think yao is a underrated defender.. he does alter a lot of shots that dont show up on the stat sheet.. anyways the above poster was correct celtics have a perfect combination and chemistry in their big 3...

Allen - best pure shooter also can penetrate which is a underrated aspect of his game..

Pierce - can hit the big shot. not afraid to take over the game. everything tmac should be!

Garnett - wont wow you offensively but hustles plays hard D and can get you 20 pts a game and 10 rebs....

On top of that all 3 seem to be willing to pass the ball and knows the system..

in contract our big 3 has no chemistry what so ever..
Tmac and Artest just dont move well with the ball.. they hold the ball for too long and then look for a pass out. . when they dont have the balll they stand around the 3 pt line.. if they were great shooters like allen then that would be another story but they are not! so that kills the offense..

yao is probably our most consistent star but he has a turn over issue and sometimes gets taken out of the game..

where i think we are a lot stronger than the celtics is our role players..
Celts dont have anyone like Scola or Landry or even von wafer.. so we just need our 3 stars to start playing together and playing like stars. .

True this team was supposed to be built to win it all this season. 2010 there no gurantees the Rockets get the big names that will out on the market. Have to take care of Yao he will be fa in 2010. As for this season get what you can Feb. 19th and hope for the best come the playoffs.

I said Garnett was a very good defensive player. I never said anything about Garnett's shot blocking ability. I am no fan of Garnett or the Celtics but 9 All Defensive Team appearances and being the reigning Defensive Player of the Year speaks for itself. Judging from your grammar, I guess you don't read much though.
