The key here: Some people build up leg muscles faster than others. T-Mac appears to have very underdeveloped leg muscles. I'd rather he takes all of December off. The schedule is easy. I want us to prove to him that we can win without him. Then he'll want to come back and have no excuses. I hope they sit him out and make him rehab everyday while the guys start perfecting the offense. I'd like to give Barry, Head, Wafer, and Francis their chances to get some minutes in and finally decide who's in and who's out. I'd like to let Artest gel more as well. Yao needs to man up though. We need 20/10/2/2 from him every night.
Yeah DD, you are right. Just let's see. Hopefully the doctor will say the same, that he can play through it to get knee back to 100%. But hopefully he will also give maybe kinda new treatments for that knee
One isolated case, and all doctors are wrong? Come on, they opened his knee up took a look and said no real damage..... Sigh, now you make it personal...I had the surgery at 35...was back playing in a couple of weeks and fully healthy at about 3 months. I still play the game....and am sore every single day....I have had back surgery, knee surgery and foot surgery....all because of my addiction to playing sports... I know guys that are on their 3rd ACL that still play, and then I know a guy who only had his knee scoped and gave it up....you are right it is an individual thing, some people have a higher tolerance of pain then others, I guess Tmac is one of those that doesn't handle pain very well. DD
I posted this in another thread but I will tell you also the man is going through some things right now that are personal so it may get worse before it gets better
Personal stuff is another issue...but to me it all sounds mental...hopefully he refocuses on the game of basketball.....to win the team really needs their highest played and most talented player focused on the task at hand. DD
you played nba basketball three months after your acl surgery? it's ridiculous to assume it's just a matter of pain with the guy. i want him back as much as anyone else and he wants to be back, but if he can't go 100%, he can't go 100%. you're basicaly calling a man you've never met a p***y when you have no idea what he's feeling or how limited the knee really is. giving a personal anecdote from your old man's league is irrelevant to the situation.
yeah i agree with you, but we are talking about tracy here and he does not handle stuff like this to well...
I was responding to Blake calling me full of it......about playing 3 weeks after my surgery, it sounds like he had a touger time with his.... And yes, I believe Tmac is soft, but if this is as GOAT says it is...and is really a personal issue, then he needs to work it out and come back focused. Either way, it sounds like a mental issue, which is what I have been saying all along. DD
"Mcgrady to miss the next two Rockets games" Mcgrady missing the next two weeks sounds like a better option. I'd rather have this team jell without Tracy's influence on the team and have the team play and hustle on every play, instead of watching Tracy limp around the court. I'm just plain tired of his drama! Sick of hearing how much pain he's in! Either sit your butt on the bench or quit your whining and play. I'm just tired of hearing the same song and dance. Was Tracy on the bench to support his team? Hell no! Francis was. One has passion, the other is a lame duck.
Wasn't trying to make it personal...posting when inebriated wasn't a great idea on my part I just think he is actually injured and it is affecting his play. I don't think it's mental. I also agree that his pain threshold isn't exactly what I would consider high...not even close. But I notice games where he has no lift at all and if he has no lift and is limping, he is almost useless because he doesn't defend and can't hit shots...shots he continues to take anyway. Let him shut it down for a few weeks so we don't have to deal with this crap all season
barry wasn't there either. last yr tracy wasn't on the bench, instead, he rehabbed in the back. tracy was probably doing the same last night.
Tracy is almost never on the bench to support his team, maybe on the road but never at home. He doesn't like to be asked difficult questions about his health. The team doctors said rehabbing and working it out would be best on the court, I doubt he was in the back on the tread mill.
nice job setting the tone. we should expect more from this team. it's time to stop living in the past. we should expect greatness from the players and the team every single game. this is our time the win the whole damn thing.
I'd say rest him for the next two games against the Clippers (Dec. 3) and the Warriors (Dec. 5) as well. The Rockets should be able to compete without him.
seriously... we just need a little more to easily beat this denver team. if we had tmac, this is an easy win.
