Good job there Weisbrod, you jackass. Calling your incoming best player stubborn. I'm sure that will make him want to come play for you that much more.

Everything this guy does seems pretty dumb, how can Steve like the guy and his direction?

I think "stubborn" is actually a compliment here. ;)

Yes. It's like calling a bench warmer "patient" or saying a journeyman "knows his way around." If life gives you a player with a flaw, sell it to your fans as a virtue.

Wait until the Magic want Stevie to pass the ball to Dwight Howard. They'll find out how stubborn he is.

steve passes the ball off quite a bit, its just the 20 secs of dribbling that drives me crazy.

    True that rockets#1.

I'm telling you. Steve and Weisbrod deserve each other. They each look superficially good for their roles, but in reality...

I would know, b/c this joker was born in my old hometown.

    Check out his bio here...
    (Scroll down below DeVoS)

If you ask me, his list of failures exceed this his successes...
"Weisbrod was instrumental in the acquisition of GRANT HILL...as well as the acquisitions of PATRICK EWING and HORACE GRANT."

Hey Johnny boy, can you say: "late to the party???"

    Most interesting line.

Francis is visiting this weekend (or is he?) and Les is saying it gets done this weekend. Hmm...

It's important to note that very few trades happen on the weekends. The reason is because, particularly in the summer, staffs have weekends off and most of the media outlets give their primary reporters Saturday and Sunday off. Friday through Sunday are VERY slow parts of the week news-wise.

It would not surprise me if the deal got completed over the weekend but wasn't actually announced until Monday. That would make the most sense.

Francis is visiting his long lost brother, Mickey Mouse, who shares about has high an IQ as SF3. After a heavy lunch of fried chicken and fries with Orlando Ops guy, John Vicefraud and SF will ]take a gondola ride on It's a Small World -- the Disney attraction modelled after SF's brain. Next, they'll take a tour of Haunted Mansion where John will talk about Orlando's sad history of losing such great players as Shaq and Penny in addition to their traditional ineptitude in signing overpaid players. Next up, Space Mountain to relive SF3's rise to greatness in Houston only to watch his market value plummet to new lows for his inability to lead the team for over 5 years. And finally, John and SF will take a stroll through Tomorrowland where they will see the Tracy McGrady and Yao holding the Larry O'Brien trophy and laughing merrily as they head to Goofy's Country Dancin' Jamboree.

There you have it folks. SF3's weekend itinerary.

How could one NOT be excited???

What's funny here is that you could've taken Steve's name out, inserted Weisbrod, and it still would've applied about Steve!:D These two just have to end up together. Goodness, imagine the comedy coming out of Orlando the next few years.

You know with this TMac deal I don't feel confident about our up and coming season for some reason. In the past I was fairly confident on what to expect, I used to say to myself that we'll do good this season and what not and every season we we're fairly close to the playoffs and we made it finally this year but now I don't know if we'll do extremely well or fairly bad. I think I'd feel more confident if we had a few more pieces, I'm hoping these feelings will change.

Kaiser, see the other thread, about the Rockets not making the playoffs with the trade. I think it should set you at ease.

Also note that it will probably take another season or two, even with T-Mac to reach the conference finals. Getting to the second round and losing in say 6 or 7 games with a hopeful season will be a good result for next season. We still have the San Antonio, Dallas, Sacramento, Minnesota teams to deal with, not to mention the Laker's who could still keep Kobe and Shaq and therefore could be in the mix.

To get to the finals will probably necesitate another solid role player who wants to jump on the Yao T Mac bandwagon.

"The night he hit Stoudemire was probably the night I decided he's a guy I could get used to," Weisbrod said. "I don't know him very well yet, but he's a guy we've identified as someone who could help us."

    Assist awarded to Stoudemire :D
