Good Eyes. That is cool. Man I want TMAC so badly, I love SF and have enjoyed having him here for so many years, but we just can't pass up on TMAC.

I would just about trade anyone for him. I still want to see if Yao will become our dominant center. I still have faith in the big guy, especially since he has only had 2 years in the NBA.

Man....after watching all my clips from the playoffs of the Rox vs the Lakers, I am pumped up now. I can't wait till next season. The suspense is killing me....

    In the meantime....

    GO STROS!!!

Because of him T-Mac would go sooner because T-Mac said he doesnt want to be part of a rebuilding process and that highschooler is a bit of a project. Okafor would have been a better lure for T-Mac to stay cause he's NBA Ready.

also i will like to see how nelson feels about coming from the bench in orlando with steve playing the point.

Oh, probably not until after the draft. Or tonight!! Or not until after Francis' BYC status is up. Or this weekend! Or tonight! Never! THEY'RE ALREADY UP!! Wait, where...

Just a sec, I'm gonna go make some more coffee...

I found this rumor off another BBS I go on to:

A source within the Heat organization has said that there is a possible deal to be discussed with the Magic and Rockets. The details are yet to be worked out, but here are the main players:

    Orlando sends McGrady to Houston
    sends Drew Gooden to Miami

Houston sends Steve Francis to Orlando
    sends Cuttino Mobley to Miami

Miami sends Caron Butler to Orlando
sends Eddie Jones or Brian Grant to Orlando

Pretty interesting if you ask me. Orlando would get better in a hurry. True, they lose a superstar, but they get a much better team. Francis and Jones could make a very good backcourt, and Caron is a budding superstar. Plus, they just drafted Jameer Nelson.

Houston gets who they want (T-Mac), while getting rid of a possible chemistry problem by moving incumbent Cuttino Mobley. T-Mac and Yao could be a devastating 1-2 punch in two years. (Think Shaq-Kobe Vol. 2)

Miami gets to free themselves of Jones' contract, while getting a young promising talent in Gooden. Also, Mobley can spread the floor with his shooting. Both players would fit well into the up and down scheme Miami is using now.

    That leaves these lineups:

    ORL:

    Francis
    Jones
    Butler
    Juwon Howard
    Andrew DeClerq

    HOU:

    Mark Jackson
    T-Mac
    Jim Jackson
    Mo Taylor
    Yao

    MIA:

    Dwyane Wade
    Mobley
    Odom
    Gooden
    Brian Grant

I am considering to start a thread whether TMac is a SG or a SF.

John McClain was just on 610 saying that he was told that the owner of the Magic was going to roll out the red carpet for Francis tomorrow when Francis visits. He is supposedly flying in his entire family to show him how much they really want him.

    Wait, so we keep Cato?

While I would like to have Howard, well would not mind him, who do we get to play PF. If we start the season with Cato at PF again, I would not like that. Maybe we go after Dice. Anyhow, it's only a rumor, so we'll have to wait and see. I do like the T-Mac to Houston part.:D

Thats good to hear ... Stephen A Smith on Sportscenter was talking about how he still not convinced that T-Mac is going to Houston. He keeps saying that Pho. and Ind. have put up better offers, but I just don't see that happening if T-Mac truly only wants to sign with Houston.

Francis getting the red carpet treatment by the Magic owner is definitely a great development. Lets just get this thing done and I definitely don't want to have to wait until July 15. You never know what can happen from now until then.

T-Mac trade to Houston step closer

The trade of Tracy McGrady to the Houston Rockets moved a step closer early Friday morning to becoming reality after Magic general manager John Weisbrod spoke with Rockets guard Steve Francis.

Weisbrod and Francis - the Rockets star who will come in the trade for McGrady - spoke by phone after the NBA Draft concluded Thursday night.

Jeff Fried, Francis agent, said Friday morning that his client has dropped any objections to coming to Orlando.

"Steve was very impressed with the way John has a vision for the team,'' Fried said. "It was a necessary step. I think John really connected with him.''

Weisbrod stopped short of saying any deal was imminent. The proposed trade of McGrady includes Tyronn Lue, Juwan Howard and Reece Gaines in exchange for Francis Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato.

"I couldn't say we're closer to anything but this was a good first step,'' Weisbrod said. "I do like the determination, conviction I hear from Steve.''

Weisbrod also said he will continue talking to other teams interested in McGrady, and that he does not expect any conclusion to the McGrady situation this weekend.

"We could still go in another direction with this, but I do like what I heard tonight,'' Weisbrod said. "We meshed.''

Great news Jeff! Thanks for the info.

What is funny about this is if you didnt know better one would think Francis was a FA and was being courted! Has anyone seen anything like this before for a player that is already under contract!?!
