McGrady To Houston Thread (Update: Francis will visit Orlando)

Quite frankly I don't give a hoot what it looks like. I'm more interested in content. Did anybody know that Joe Johnson averages more shots (as the 3rd option) than anybody on this team? Yup he did, 1.6 shots per game actually than Steve Francis for 16.9 PPG (translation: I'm gonna get my pts intead of helping my team win). Only Chad Ford and Phoenix fans think he is too much to give up for TMac.

 

I don't know why they're angry. Even if their offer included Joe Johnson (which was never confirmed), it still wasn't better than ours. And T-Mac would rather play with Yao than Amare - higher ceiling.

 

Some of the guys on the Suns board think Amare is the best...kinda like our YOFs ...one guy's name is "AmareIsGod"

 

If the deal is dead I believe SF and Cat (Cato, too) are oh-ficially X-Rox by 7/15.

I also question any other team's 'comfort level' in dealing with Weisbrod.

Tonite, and near term future, sure appears promising, in terms of entertainment value.

You should try the cabarkapa at Niko Niko's - it's really excellent.

I am still not over the fact that they keep trying to shove Casey Jacobson down O-town's throat - like he has some value.

Sort of like Rocket fans that think the Mavericks would trade Dirk and Josh Howard for Mo T and Spoon for better "depth at the PF"

 

How about Jim Jackson and Maurice Taylor included with Cato and Mobley as opposed to Francis? This would work.

Lue could come off the bench as a backup PG and guys like Nachbar and Piakowski could be worked into the normal rotation. Juwan Howard could start and Clarence Weatherspoon could come off the bench. We could then hunt for a solid backup PF and center.

C Yao Ming

Jim Graey just reported on ESPN that Steve Francis is OK with Orlando and that he will visit them on Saturday.
