Good find. You have to register to read any articles at the Washington Post, and I don't feel like going through all that. I wonder why they would be reporting this...unless the third team involved is the Wizards.

just get the trade done with cato/sf/cat. Some other team probabliy will have better offers if we take cato out. CD better not screw up. Playing hardball it to damn risky in this situation. I hope CD knows this.

isn't that from the Washington Post article we read yesterday?? in that article it said that they were shopping for a 3rd team and would likely announce the deal after the draft.

Yea, I dont want to go through all the restering either. Who knows about the Wiz being involved. Aren't the two guys from PTI from the Was. Post? If so, they would be better info than from Chad Ford. I think those guys actually research what they are talking about before thy open their mouths (or put it in print).

Could be. I'm listening to 610 to see if they say anything at 40 after. The 610 site had the time of the update to their site at 2pm. They said NOTHING about it this morning.

Isn't it possible that the reason the trade hasn't been announced yet is that Stern, et al. want anticipation and excitement for the draft telecast tonight? This could fit in with that possiblity- leaking that there may be a big announcement would definitely get me to tune in, in spite of the fact that my team has no pick worth mentioning and I could care less what happens with the actual picks beyond #1 and #2.

The league isn't involved in this. If ANYTHING, Orlando is delaying to take the conversation off of McGrady and keep it on their #1 pick, but no way the NBA would do anything to delay the deal for publicity reasons.

With all the conspiracies going around the NBA these days, I would not be surprised. Maybe this is a way for Stern to get ESPN some good ratings since they had the East Finals. Or maybe this is a ploy by Stern to create drama so that every story on Sportscenter is not centered around just the Lakers.

Funny thing is there are a lot of marketing people out there wondering why an 80-year-old Eskimo woman who lives in Puerto Rico and makes $100,000+ per year is registering to read all these newspapers online.

    :D

    Why not?

I didn't really think so, but I am not sure why it would hurt. Seems like it would be easy enough for them to do, and with obvious publicity benefits.

Since tonight will be such a big event in Rockets' history, is chat going to be available?

I've never been to chat because I'm scared of DoD, so I don't know if it's only turned on for games.
