That as of right now, if and when the deal goes through...Steve Francis will never put on a Magic Jersey. He would definitely be dealt, according to their "sources". Take that for what you think it's worth.

Maybe they never intended to have Francis and they are just accomodating TMac to get the players they really want.

I'm sure there has been a flurry of offers made to Orlando after all of this went public. For as much as we like to hear rumors and inside information, sometimes it can backfire. I certainly hope no other team outbid us for McGrady's services.

Are confidentiality agreements not put in place to prevent this type of thing? In the corporate world in which I operate, people get sued for leaks such as this.

 

There are those things, but you have to remember that there are friends, agents, people who work for various organizations around the league and teams. So, it isn't just the parties that let things slip.

 

Well as far as the Magic are conncered im sure they are happy this got leaked so they could get the most outa this trade BUT as a rox fan ill be extreamly pissed if this was 2 som how fall apart beucase of the leak..

That's true and one has to look no further than the expansion draft tonight to see. Through agents, friends, and what not people pretty much know who's protected and who's not.

 

I cant handle having a disgruntled Francis on this team. Do you remember Mario Ellie after the Mighty Mouse trade fell apart?

 

Not necessarily. There was a notable trade that blew up that IMO helped bring us a championship. Once Horry was aware of how close he was to being a Piston (when the Pistons blew goats), he picked up his work ethic and was brilliant down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Right, and typically these people are covered under the definition of 'representatives' or 'affiliates', etc. I agree it is hard to pin down who exactly leaked it. If this trade falls through, I'm filing suit and subpoenaing all emails and two-ways eminating from the Orlando offices!

If it does fall apart, maybe SF3 and Mobes will take the motivation and play for JVG the way he wants them to. If they played within the team concept JVG is trying to instill, the Rox could be VERY dangerous.

That being said, I would still like to see the trade go through.

 

THIS LOOKS GOOD FROM the orlando forum............610 radio said that some one named "Weisbron" or something for the Magic has put the deal on hold because of another offer that has been made.

Well this is an outright lie. I'm been listening to the show since it came on at 4:00 and the sportscasters Kenny Hand and John Grannato have said no such thing. The only thing they have said is that at around 7 pm tonight they expect T-Mac to be a Rocket and the trade to be made offical on July 1st.
