I can't believe Francis is putting up such a stink. For the money he makes, I'd go play in the Middle-East on a team called "The American Infidels". Our slogan could be something like "May Allah suck the balls of Jesus!" I'd still suit up every game. Even after they decapitated me.

Ok, Steve's agent is a freaking jackass. If you didn't hear the Berman piece his agent basically says that Steve only wants to go to Orlando if Shaq ends up there. If not, then he said the Rockets and Orlando need to get another team involved before they make any trades. Does this guy think Stevie has a no trade clause or something? He has absolutely NO LEVERAGE at all. What is he gonna do...retire and forfeit that 75 million sitting on the table? Doubtful.

Does this account for Steve's BYC contract now or after july 1st?

What I think will happen is that all deals will be finalized but may not be "official" till july first when they submit the papers to the NBA. Of course the problem with this is that it will give a week for some other team to f**k over the deal if that is the scenario, unless since it was a signed deal it could be binding. I dont know I am just worried over the deal until we see Tracy at the Toyota Center for a press conference. there is that damon deal, which in hindsight worked out that he didnt come, but i remember most everyone here was excited in getting damon to houston

Actually, he didn't say that. He said they were HOPEFUL the Magic would land O'Neal or accomodate Steve by moving him to another team. There was no threat or warning, just their opinion. This is not something that will prevent a deal from happening. Steve has said that he would prefer to play elsewhere but will play in Orlando and do his job.
