the writer is from orlando? lol, then this article is for sure inaccurate. dude probably added the reporter's questions as part of tracy's quotes lol. can you actually get away with this?
And now watch for McGrady next few days to deny those things were said, or claim he was misunderstood. Thats been the pattern the last year. McGrady came home, felt slighted he's not coming back as the superstar in the spotlight, just some 3rd rate player in front of family and his boys. And is acting out bratty about it. He probably had a Gortat in Turkey moment like how Gortat complained about the Van Gundy there, McGrady maybe feeling too comfortable in his hometime then mouthed off on things. Some of before game quotes and after game quotes look similar. And McGrady did outright mention his contract year in the post game interview. It kinda looks like a stitch job placing peaces comments together to make a full story. But I'm going to guess no.
When will this guy ever shutup? That's why watching McGrady interviews are the best, he puts his self on the spot light and says all this crap. He needs to keep this to himself, is he trying to make us hate him? He needs to stick to his role, by sticking to this cameo role he won't re injure himself. Who knows, we might want him back. Rick Adelman doesn't want to hurt another career. McGrady needs to shut up, play, and do as he's told.
There's still a contingent of posters on this board arguing that he should get more playing time, and not as a way to showcase his trade value.
i dont think the quotes are to far gone, but no he did not look awfully fustrated in the interview. And i dont like the questions asked either. I mean hasnt rick made it known why they have been playing him for 8 mins to ease him back, but yet a reporter is trying to heat things up, and t-mac just answered what he thought. get over it, i mean who wouldnt be hungery after hearing that questioned asked to you.
At least, Tmac got some play minutes to show he still can play (I believe he still can play at a high level, like VC). His bball career will continute, no matter here or somewhere else. All fans who like Tmac should be happy for him.
those are posters' opinions. word from around the L from various sources claim tmac is being showcased (hence a question from a reporter to him about being showcased) for a trade. tmac, unless he's stupid, KNOWS he's going to get traded and the team is shopping him hard.
how can he when he has reporters aksing him all these questions if he is being showcased, or does he think he needs more minutes, i mean come on now.
The video Clutch posted, and the comments here don't match. Either, the video didn't show the whole thing, or this article is embellishing the truth.
even if these quotes are accurate, there's really nothing wrong with what he said, the problem is the reporter added a lot of his own stuff and he didnt print the exact questions he asked Mcgrady. "whoever gets me" sounds like tmac is already making a list of possible destinations and thinking of others teams...but we dont know if the reporter specifically asked him what any team can expect if they got him through free agency...
Look, he's even lucky to get ANY playing time. He's always been known for opening his big month numerous of times, don't you think he would of learned by now? Let him actually play for a month, and see if he deserves any more time or not. It's not like we're on a rush to trade him.
Something isn't adding up here. I don't see any reason why he would act super politically correct in the interview in this thread and then go insane with trade talk in another interview (that has no video/audio to back it up). Someone is fabricating quotes here. That's my guess.
