Pretty funny, except it was Ric Bucher that wrote the book about Yao and Simmons picked us to win 44 games.

 

Sounds like there can be some disagreements there. The two goals don't always mesh together. The best business organizations understand this.

 

Of course and Morey has to make that call when it happens......and if Les wants in.....then he gets final say of course.

True, I think honestly they sit down and discuss it and both make their cases and then come to a quorum.

I am 100% certain the Rockets are in good hands with this management team.

You get the quorum before you discuss, not after. But yes, they should talk about it, instead of seemingly contradicting each other through the media.

 

But I doubt they were contradicting each other at all....

It probably went down like this:

Rick was asked the question by a reporter, they wrote the story......then sat down and talked it over and changed direction.

Happens all the time, the media rarely gets the timeline correct.

Yao and Tmac are more Cerebral and Less likely to fight to then end

I've felt that too. Stevie and Yao made a better core and got along really well. Tracy and Yao, well kinda of like oil and vinegar.

 

I would rather someone who is 3/4 as talented but give 100%
than someone
that is uber talented but thinks they can turn it on and off at will
and give 50% effort from time to time

I think that's ultimately why Morey didn't sign Wafer and Adleman kicked him off the floor once.
