There is still teams that want McGrady to help them out as a player.

Jermaine O'Neal for T Mac, Heat interested.

They want Mcgrady to give Wade big help and make him comeback next year.

if he can help the team this year, why wouldnt he be able to help them next year? wouldnt you want to keep him at a discounted rate? i dont see the problem in that if he is willing to take a paycut. You're basically saying he's going to get whether he shows he can help or not. Why wouldnt houston be playing him, to see if he can help, so they can keep him?

Ifr your answer is because he's a "cancer", then why risk playing him this season if he's such a cancer to the team? I can't imagine they think a "cancer" is worth a few more Ws this year, because he wouldnt be. If he's truly a cancer it would result in more losses, not wins. Playing him just to make this season better than it would be doesnt make any sense, at least not if he truly is a cancer, like you claim.

Whoever said I was in a rush to trade him? I'm happy that he's playing right now, it would be a stupid thing to increase his minutes when it hasn't even been a month. Do you want the same thing that happened to Chris Webber to happen to McGrady? Like I said, give him a month to get used to this role and if he deserves more minutes then R.A would do it. Rick the Ruler>>>>>>>>>>>>>>you.

It is the same logic behind voting for T-Mac as an all Star this year.

Ugh, no....the other teams will sell that to their fans when they acquire him....

"Hey look, we get a free look at Tmac"....when the reality is they are jettising longer term deals to start over.

The Tracy McGrady threads on here reminds me so much of the Michael Vick threads over at the Atlanta Falcons forum when he played for Atlanta.

Same people arguing in multiple threads about the same thing every single day.

We're not taking back any long term contracts, unless a really good, young player is available. (Not Gay).

    I agree.....completely.

This offseason is unique in that there are a lot of teams losing money and the cap is going to go down next year.

It is the perfect time to have a massive expiring contract.....

I think Morey will be able to press hard enough to turn coal into a diamond.

This article as is the case with most articles, both in sports and main stream news, does this selective sampling of quotes to engage the interests of readers. And it continues to prove how effective it is based on the responses generated here. We even do it here as we sample others' comments here and re-post (as we agree and/or disagree with what they say) to make a point. It's called taking people out of context.

It says a lot when those who hate, dislike, and/or have issues with T-Mac spend majority of their time on this site talking about him to the tune of, at the time of my post, 17+ pages. It appears with all of the banter, T-Mac is the most popular topic on Clutchfans at the moment. Go figure.

The Orlando Announcers say he looks good, the Rockets Announcers say that...his teammates say he looks good.

So are all of these people ostriches? Or is it you and a few others who keep raising the bar on what he needs to do so that you can always claim you were right about him all along?

    Sheesh!

Adleman is pissing me off. He has to let him play in situations like last night.

    - we are down in the 3rd and fourth, Ariza and company cant hit a damn thing. If you have a superstar like t-mac (who is used to situations like this) - YOU USE HIM. This is where you measure him. This is why we signed him years ago. To help push us through. If RA put him in i promise he would have put up numbers, drew double teams, he is a sick passer. He makes the game easy for others.

RA does this a lot with or without t-mac. He will leave ppl in way to long. Last night he should have put in lowry when brooks wasn't doing ****.

Dont think that certain ppl on the ROX wont get a big head soon. Once Brooks, landry etc.. get some more recognition.. Superstar mentality will be apparent.

I don't see why Adelman didn't put him in for Ariza. A 50% T-Mac is still a better dribbler than Ariza and he couldn't possibly shoot any worse(Ariza was 1-10 last night).

I'm backing up DD on this one.

I'm both a Raptor and Rocket fan. I know T-Mac is ALL about himself. You know why he busted his ass off this offseason? HE'S ENTERING A CONTRACT YEAR. Once he leaves Houston, that will make it the third straight team that he's has left on a sour note. Coincidence? I think not.

This dude is the epitome of selfish.

And rightfully so, the Rockets are freakin' idiots for not playing the guy more minutes, with injuries AND a certain player named Ariza on the roster. It is clear the Rockets do not want him around in their future plans, and they have chosen to sabotage his contract situation just to make a point, or maybe to keep his price low for negotiations next year (the Carl Landy bad knee hit job anyone?). It pisses me off as a fan KNOWING he is much better than players ahead of him, and that we CAN use him, yet he gets no playing time.

Anywho, Rockets need to "stay classy" and move him to a team that can use him or just sit him for good and TELL him they dont want him to play. No need for this eye for an eye crap.

Who cares if it's a contract year or not, bottom line T-Mac has motivation and a motivated t-mac is easily the best player on the team right now. Why not play him so we can win ball games.

I agree with your thinking. I still don't see any trade out there better for the team than retaining an improving McGrady. Getting him at a discount with improving health, Yao, current roster and any new draft picks would be interesting.

Since people "trust" Morey then he debunked the "cancer" label on T-Mac but of course because it doesn't register with their feelings it's discounted.
