My whole point is I still believe mcgrady can help this team become an elite team next year when yao comes back, but Adelman is going about the situation wrong with mcgrady which will make mcgrady not want to resign with the Rockets.

It seems people fail to realize that were not getting lebron, wade or joe johson, to replace t-mac so his our best option at a real sg not ariza, mcgrady's the final piece to the puzzle when yao comes back.

We have yet to see this team at full strength, we have not seen this cast with Yao and T-mac together

Its been this cast with t-mac= 22 gm streak, yao with this cast=2nd round
I still want to see the team together and see what they can do.

I think where mcgrady can really help this team is when RA offense isn't working and Yao is being taken out of games by fronting, you still have a guy that can create something out of nothing, whether it's creating for his-self or others.

Unless were just going to settle for just being a playoff team instead I can understand why everyone wants to get rid of him but if we want to be a championship contender we still need mcgrady imo.

Don't you hate it that Jermaine taylor receive more playing time than Tracy. Rick adelman knows best.

Where did it say adelman didnt talk to him? He said HE himself hasnt spoken to him about it, as in neither has tried to really go into the subject yet because THEY knew the agreement was to stick to small minutes for a few games.

    C'mon man...

    60K posts and you're self-glossing about predictions?

Have you heard the one about an infinite amount of monkeys on an infinite amount of typewriters writing Shakespeare?

The same infinite number of monkeys will get all the Rocket's predictions too...

I could care less about what happens to Tracy. In fact there are very few "true apologists" on this board, atleast as the hate brigade has defined them. I can only think of about 3 or 4 of them to be honest.

Its funny how anyone who isnt ready to crucify him is an apologist. I prefer to think of myself as a patient person.

In what capacity? Off the bench? How much are you anticipating him resigning for? What (if any) acquisitions do you anticipate the Rockets receiving?

Why do you think Joe Johnson is out of the question? What about potential trades?

Final piece to the puzzle? We still need a legitimate starting pg.

Not really. Lowry, Budinger, Anderson, and Ariza weren't on that roster. Landry and Brooks are far more developed now than they were back then, and we don't have anyone with Deke's defensive presence.

    Entirely different team.

    So you're advocating iso-ball.

No offense, but your whole argument is short sighted.

I dont have any problems with Tmacs statements really. If I was him watching Budinger get injured and Ariza just stinking up the court game after game with increased minutes I would be pretty darn annoyed also. I would be wondering why I cant get a few minutes in the second half at least.

Adelman needs to cut it out with the excuses and give him some more minutes. The team can benefit from Tmac's return.

McGrady does deserve more playing time, with the liimited time that he is given he has been producing more then what was expected. Not to mention it will be nothin but a upgrade over Ariza, who jacks up horrible shots. McGrady might not be the best defender but his offensive skills could be very important team. So Rockets should play McGrady more and less of Ariza. At least 20 minutes.

This is the problem....your thinking is flawed.

What has he done to EARN more time?

    That right there.....is the issue....

When he EARNS it..by playing hard, he will get more time.

wow, seriously? Who didn't know that's how it was going to go?? That was pretty obvious....don't give yourself so much credit for those "predictions". I'm sure you predicted some time way back in june that he'd be gone by the end of the summer too, right? Should I list my predictions? I said he'd be here after the summer, after training camp, after the season started, and this whole year.....i guess we're both even huh.... If you know the game of basketball and follow the NBA closesly, it's not hard to predict any of this. It's not hard to predict the team wants to keep tmac if he comes back strong and wants to trade him if he doesnt or a good offer comes along. It's common sense DD..

Hey if it were so common, I guess you would have posted it.....right?

You genuinely don't like the guy. It's not that hard to tell that when you complement him for his good plays it's because other posters have already called you out for being ridiculously bias.

I mean you flip and flop so hard it's ridiculous. One game ago, he plays well and you complement him. Then when an article criticizing him pops up, it's all "burn him to hell!". Kind of obvious that you're playing an "I'm objective" agenda don't you think?

And for God Sakes stop quoting yourself when you actually get something right for once, no one is giving you a cookie.

and once again, the quotes dont matter, real or not he said nothing wrong. I dont believe the writer would make it up if he wants to keep his job, but it does appear that he arranged it nicely how he wanted it and he added his own remarks to change the mood of tmac's quotes.

As for the contract year remark, it's not purely about money. Some of you assume "oh that means he wants to get paid", but a contract is more than money, it's about having spot on a specific team in a specific city, of course he can always be traded, but he's already said he prefers to stay here AND that money isn't an issue, that should tell you he's more worried about showing he's still got game so he can be given a contract to stay here, not so much to get paid the max anywhere.
