Rick adelman and Daryl Morey should of called Stephen Smith so he can annouce it on ESPN, for Tracy to hear!!!! That would of been EPIC!!!

It's really funny to see somebody whose handle is "TheRealist" who is so clearly living in a fantasy world.

McGrady would have played extended minutes if he was good enough and fit enough. He wasn't. You people act like normal players don't earn their playing time in practice and scrimmages. They do.

It's not being childish, it's being that they moved on. They could have easily found more minutes, if that was the only problem. The organization doesn't want him back, and that's why he's being traded. Not because they couldn't find any more minutes for him, giving him 7-8 minutes was enough of a strain.

    Thank God for that!
Due to all things coming to a head the rockets
have been placed in a position where the TRUTH had to be told.
No more lies, no more deception, no more McGrady supporters & haters!!
It does however say Star players if you are coming to join the Rockets get everything in writing on your contract, because you just dont ever know what is going on behind closed doors or what whims are in the minds of Coachers or General Managers. New Rockets beware! :p

i could actually see the cavs or lakers trading for tmac.

    1) cavs get a way to lure lebron to stay, if they can re-sign both tmac and lebron, assuming tmac is healthy they would be pretty scary. tmac can come off the bench while he's recovering and provide james with some rest, and in the playoffs it would be a pretty scary combo. Plus if it doesn't work out, tmac is expiring anyway. delonte west and big z maybe?

    2) lakers have a weakness in bench production. if they can trade away, say, odom (who has talent but is rotting on the bench) and possibly bynum (who clearly doesn't belong there with gasol in the lineup), for scola + tmac, they would get an immediate boost on their bench offense.

Like mentioned before, Morey would have another move or two in his pocket but honestly I can live with Budinger at the 2 and Ariza would now become the 4th option behind Yao, Ellis and Landy.

I agree with you, gifford. Brooks, Landry and Scola leaving the organization would be tough to digest. They are the untouchables in my opinion, as well as being career Houston Rockets. We would lose one of these players if we were to acquire an All-Star. Hence, I also do not wish that the Rockets execute an exchange centered around Chris Paul.

Ariza, Lowry and Battier are the assets that I could live with leaving the team along with T-Mac.

Sucks if it's true but it seems to have been inevitable. I just hope Les can show some backbone and find a legit starting center when he trades T-Mac.

I guess I guy can't make a documentary protesting the Darfur war with the most popular guy in China playing on his team.

I've been a T-Mac fan since he arrived. Now, I hope he ends up in Clipper-land, Minnesota, Charlotte, or Memphis. Somewhere with poor management that produces perennial losers.

It's unfortunate Rick didn't give T-mac a chance to really prove himself. Or that T-mac wasn't patient enough.

I think T-mac demanding a trade now was a mistake. Instead of playing 8 minutes a game he will not play now. He could have waited a few more weeks. It may have been in his interests - 6 games was too little to evaluate him, and too little for him to start getting anzy.

Frankly, I am disappointed in the way T-mac handled this. Not surprised, but still disappointed. I think had he stuck it out he would have had a chance to earn a spot back on the Rockets. He would have earned a lot of respect if he stuck it out and made it back into the rotation. If he bided his time and waited for an opportunity. Had he stayed hungry and humble, he would have made it.

But he didn't. And now he is gone.

I think it's a lose for both Tracy and both the Rockets in a way. But hopefully we can get someone who will be a perimeter playmaker and T-mac will end up someplace where he can play lots of minutes.

I doubt we would get Ellis AND Biedrins. Biedrins might be possible if we took back other bad contracts with him.

Everyone and their dog saw this coming. I'm not totally on board with it. I think he can still be a valuable part for the rest of this season. I hope, for Adleman's sake, the team can continue to play the way it has so far. If they fall apart and miss out on the playoffs because of something McGrady could have added OR if the pieces they get in return for him screw up this "chemistry" they keep harping on, the fault falls on Rick Adleman.
