tryin to work in an injured mcgrady is far different than a guy who has been going all season, i wish the same thing though, I actually would rather sit him all year and see what DM could do in the free agent market over the summer.
same here. but what do you expect? RA's playing a PR game. how hard is it to integrate tmac back into the rockets when he's been playing with these guys for a couple of years already? even if he's limited by his surgery, he'd integrate faster and better than another player coming from a different team who's used to another system and other players.
Good luck to Tmac wherever he goes.. I'll continue to root for the guy as long as he's not playing against our Rockets!!! I understand the guy's frustrations but he went about some things the wrong way.. it's best for both parties to go separate ways.. I was never a hater of Tmac.. as one has labeled me to be.. it's alright though mate!! I'm just a Rockets fanatic like you! And I want my team to do well... bottom line!! Make it happen Morey!!!!
It's really embarrassing. I don't care where Tmac is going. But I worry whether this soup opera will disturb Morey's building plan. It's not an easy task to remove a huge contract after the superstar said no u-turn like this.
You sly dog - trying to throw in a rub there at the end? T-mac was never my boy - I just wanted what was best for our chances to win a ring - and that was having him back. I am not convinced that this princeton offense will win a ring - the evidence is pretty weak. No one refers to contracts as poison pills unless they CONTAIN a poison pill. Maggettes contract does not have a poison pill in it. Teams only put that to prevent another team from matching or acquiring a player. That is the definition. Think of the analogy my friend. A spy carries a poison pill to prevent potential captors from benefiting from capturing him. Your use is completely the opposite and makes no sense. It's kinda annoying because any business man would know that.
It looks like you took the clips from the "its my life" video and added a couple of your own and called it your own video. Not cool to take someone else's work and then claim it as your own.
SportsCenter will be talking about the "trade market for tmac" in a moment. has this been discussed yet? it's new to me.
They just said that no contenders are interested, and the Rockets will only trade him for an all star, or someone they believe will develop into an all star or simply let him expire. DD
Chris Broussard says: they want all star talent... either young guy who can develop or a guy currently playing at that level. if they can't find a good trade they will let his contract expire. teams interested in acquiring him are teams falling out of the playoff race, and teams at or above the LT. no playoff contenders are interested.
yeah, nothing new. ...but i'm getting excited. the first offer was gilbert arenas... he may not be an all world player anymore but it sure is a step up from larry hughes rumors huh? offers should only get better as the deadline nears and morey works his voodoo.
Hey DD, Do you see any possibility of Yao trying to talk to the Rockets and Tmac about working this situation out and keeping Tmac? Yao seems to be really close to Tmac and I wonder if Yao would have a say so in this matter. What you think?
This sounds good to me. If the deal isn't a sweet one then just let him expire, make moves in the off-season and get ready to roll next season with Yao back.
Rumors out of the organization are that Yao doesn't care for McGrady. Why would you think he likes him?
Rumors are rumors. Im not sticking up for the guy, im just curious about how Yao would see this. I thought he was close to Yao
Problem with trying to trade Tmac: 1.) Rockets haven't showcased at all he has recovered from his injury. 7-8 minutes for a few games? Please! 2.) Teams probably don't want Tmac because they see a disruption there just as he has done here and in Orlando. 3.) Teams willing to trade for Tmac are taking a great risk and won't part with more than peanuts for an aging, oft-injured player who hasn't proven he still has it. Chances are the team has some problem player of their own with a big contract they are trying to get rid of. It wouldn't make sense for the Rockets to trade one problem player for another problem player. I would be very surprised if Rockets get any good players out of this and I wouldn't expect a first round pick, either. Rockets management and coach put forth they don't necessarily think Tmac can still play and he no longer fits. That's like putting a big question mark next to him. Then, you want to say he has value as trade bait? More like fishing bait. Rockets are imo likely to take a big hit on this one...just to get rid of him. Otherwise, they will have to make it a multi-player trade and get rid of some of our other players...to make the deal more appealing. Rockets would have been better off giving Tmac some games with higher minutes to at least try to prove he still has it and then try to trade him. All he has is the one game where he had 10 points in 8 minutes. That is not enough to prove anything.
From what I heard last year from Rocket's insiders Yao had grown weary of Tmac and his antics, and I doubt Yao cares...probably wants him gone like the rest of us do. DD
