McGrady Receives Community Assist Award for January

No, I won't compare it to my job. Do you realize how unbelievably r****ded these "compare it to your job" analogies are?

For one thing, if I get hurt or very sick at my job, I can take sick leave and still get payed. Most salaried people can. And physical activity isn't even a part of my job, in which case injuries and mishaps would be expected and would be taken into account when giving someone a contract.

For another thing, if McGrady was near the end of a contract and was showing a lot of injury problems, it would affect his ability to continue working, especially for the kind of money he gets now. So injuries DO affect people off the court.

For another thing, he has not missed anywhere near 1/3 of the season. In fact, he never has as a Rockets except for once in 05-06. And what do you expect teams to do about that anyways? You think they should waive a player every time they get injured a lot?

For another thing, there are about a million and one things between my job and McGrady's job that are absolutely incomparable. So the analogy is absolutely asinine.

For another thing. WHAT THE FLYING F**K DO INJURIES HAVE TO DO WITH THIS THREAD.
