If the team wins... Otherwise it'll really hit the fan. Worst case scenario the lockerroom doesn't have to get worse just continue on. Tracy digs his heels deeper over what he views to be the right direction of the team whatever that may be.
It's a win/win. Tmac spends more time getting his head/knee right. The team knows what the lineup will be ahead of time and plan accordingly. As a fan, I'm looking forward to the next 2 weeks. Seeing this team play w/out any drama (basically, w/out Tmac and whatever that entails behind the scenes) is fun. Especially w/ this homestand, I think we'll see a really spirited team.
I agree completely. The team will definitely compete hard, but to be honest, I'll be happy if we're 3-3 over the next 6.
I am hoping he gets in rehab works hard and comes back strong, I to believe this is his last chance as Dave78 suggested. The real questions for me would be what to do if the team gels while he is gone and pulls off a lot of wins.....will Tracy come back and fit in, or will he want to go back to what he is comfortable doing. I don't believe the drama is over by a long shot, it seems like intermission to me....but I am hopeful that it will be, and that he comes back strong and the fans support him when he does. Note to ClutchFans......Criticism of someone does not mean you don't want what is best for the team....when Tmac sux, I will call him out....as with any Rocket player....that is just the way I roll. It doesn't mean I won't cheer like hell for em when they are wearing the red and white....just means I expect them to honor the colors by playing hard. DD
DD i reckon Tmac will fit in fine, remember last year how he was out and the rockets started a streak and how Tmac was like I'm going to have to run more this year hopefully he will have the same mentality and play into the offence. On a side note this is a critical time for Yao since both Artest and Tmac are out he will have a bigger load to carry and hopefully his body could hold out.
Wasn't meant to be funny at all. Anyone who uses Me-Mac, T-Crap, Yao Mi-SSI-ng, or any of those other stupid insults is sophomoric and not funny at all. But, it's to be expected. Pat taken.
Yao Mi-ssi-ng? LOL...come on now..that one is funny. I think we all need to laugh more often. Also did you guys see the article on ESPN? They said Tmac was out to concentrate on conditioning......just saying....now who was it that said he was just out of shape???? Link to article about Conditioning Tracy McGrady's up and down season took a downturn on Monday when the Houston Rockets decided to shut him down for two weeks The team announced on Monday that the guard will concentrate on physical conditioning after last spring's knee surgery has limited his ability to practice and play in games. "He has been fighting through this in order to help the team get past a difficult early season schedule," Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said. "Coach Adelman and I felt that it was in his best interest to take these two weeks to get himself physically prepared for the second half of the season." The Rockets host the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. They will also play without Ron Artest, who's missed four of the last five games with nagging pain in his sprained right ankle. McGrady is averaging 15.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists this season but is shooting a career-low 38.8 percent from the floor. He has missed 11 games for a Rockets team that is 24-15 and only 1½ games out of first place in the Southwest Division. DD
Finally, the Rockets make a firm decision on Tracy. I was getting sick of T-mac playing injured and playing every other game. That disrupts a team's rhythm and chemistry on the court big time.
Note to DD, your "criticisms" give some of the less mature/insightful posters a conduit to unleash havoc, furthering the overall degradation of the already diminutive intelligent conversation in the GARM.
While I completely understand where you are coming from as a "superduperultrafandude" some here take your word to the literal extreme.
Not naming any names or anything.... *COUGH*badgerfan*COUGH*
Without him ball movement and defense are better. The effects of home crowd booing on TMac's fragile mental state cannot be underestimated. I always insist he rests for a longer period to get physically/mentally recovered. Same for Ron Artest, though only for physical recuperation.
As long as our role players (AB, CL, VW, JD) have more PT and development, I would regard that as a blessing in disguise i.e. we would have a healthy TMac and Ron Ron as well as a great bench come playoff time. However, coach must carefully manage Yao's PT - our healthy "Big Three" is of paramount importance in playoff games.
Well, it's funny if it comes from someone that occasionally takes a jab at a player, and if it's not too insulting. But some posters just go on and on about certain players- it gets old after a while. Oh, I can whip out the nicknames, too: Con Artest Plain Battier (referring to his offensive repertoire) Tracy Mc...mmm...Maybe Chuck Stays (that's for Kevin Garnett types who try to back him down) Luther (willneverhavehisownFat)Head Non-Rafer (that's for Von Wafer)
My ONLY worry about all of this is that Rick Adelman overplays Battier and Yao during this stretch and they go down with injury. DD
If that really happens,we're so doomed this season.Injury rains upon us every season despite we have a lot of talents out there playing hard for the Rockets.
Yao is easy to get injured during this period, so Rick need to make up his strategies to protect yao, truth also proved that if Yao is out, we wont go further in the playoffs. Also we need to protect Battier, he is one of our best defenders. Now, Ron is out, a win would be great. Cant wait the game, hope we win at last..
