Hamza is trying to say that Artest hustles, but doesn't produce....

So what, McGrady had an injured knee and played through that the first 15 games of the seasons..

Kobe played last year with a broken pinkie and you didn't see his offense or defense drop at all..

Anyways, the point is: I don't mind Artest being beaten off the dribble every now and then, but it is a constant occurrence. I don't think his steal numbers help us more than say....Battier's overall defense.

My main issue is with the myth that Artest is a great defender, because he is not...

Except that I'm actually saying that Artest hustles, but still doesn't produce as much as he is capable of producing. Or perhaps he was overrated to begin with, and this is what he is capable of..

You're right McGrady did play through it for a little while, but there's nothing wrong with him now (according to the MRI) besides him lacking confidence/doubting his ability/pouting cause his shot is BROKE!

Trying to compare Kobe to ANYONE is ridiculous...you're talking about one of the best players ever!

I never said his D was great, but for the most part it's pretty solid

Of course he isn't going to produce like he's done in the past...he's always been the go-to guy, and that's not the case with the Rockets

    Not exactly true.

In Indiana, JO was the main guy. Sometimes Reggie Miller was the go-to guy. Rarely, it was Jamaal Tinsley. I would say for the most part, Artest was number two on the list, but the point is that it wasn't like he was the focal point of the offense.

In Sacramento, K-Mart was the focal point..

    Just saying...

He has been decent for the Rockets. Definitely not the player that some were making him out to be when he first got here though...
