Surgery, than let him come off the bench for about 30 minutes a game on average until last two weeks of March and in April start giving him 35mpg until playoff when he is all ready let Tmac, Artest, Yao, Scola and Landry take over while Alston giving them passes from a mile away for easy DUNK! (Kids say no to layups!)

I think this season Rockets can carry themselves in regular season without Tmac. Get Tmac 100% for Playoffs where it all matters!

definitely option 2. We need Tmac early on so Adelman can get used the lineups and properly evaluate what must be done to produce the most efficient team. Option 3 is out of the question because you're make a HUGE assumption that the rockets would make the playoffs with mcgrady missing for about half the season. Seeing how competitive the West is, it'd be hard to say that the Rockets would even make the 8th seed. Which would result in a 1st round matchup with the top team in the West and potentially suffering another 1st round oust. Now wouldn't that be something terrible especially after the offseason we've had.

i think he will be find limit him some in training camp and dont play much at all in the preseason. he will then have a month to pretty much rest still until the season starts. hopefully that will be enough.

his knee was more problematic for him last yr than his shoulder. he can play through his shoulder (he got 40 pts last game didn't he?).

the knee was what slowed down his quickness. i'm sure he can play through the shoulder.

I have been thinking about that. We still have one month to go before the season begins, so that means his knee will be 100% on the opening night (let's hope so).

During the preseason Rick should really increase his minutes and yes, he should do the same during the season. Give McGrady a little bit less minutes and give them for Barry.

The shoulder may hurt but it doesn't look like it is as serious as it was last season. He said he would need the surgery after this season so he can play and the pain is not that bad. Listining to McGrady's and Morey's comments I don't think they are very concerned about that.

Hopefully he will be a lot better after the preseason and will be able to playy 100% during the season. So now, during the preaseason just limit his minutes.

We should seriously sit them both for a month. We could still win .600 clip with our bench and get them playing together well much faster.

Fitting in TMAC and Yao in a team is not that hard.

Its sad to see how ununited clutchfans are.

Its even more sad to know that the warriors fans all united as one when their only achievement was making the playoofs. Those fans couldn't be more proud.

I don't think the shoulder will be as big a deal as we think. I believe it's his non shooting arm and he was able to deal with it last season. Being that these guys are professional athletes and the pounding they take on their bodies, it is unrealistic to expect these guys to be "100%".
For what it's worth it was mentioned about a season or two ago that Yao Ming will require surgery on his shoulder and I believe he too is having it scheduled for after this season. The reason for not addressing this off season was the olympics. We should have enough depth for this season and if not I think we still have some tradeable assets to make a run if we feel we are still lacking something.

That's what I was thinking too...nonshooting arm, it shouldn't affect him too much

Well the warriors dealt the Fagericks the biggest playoff upset in NBA history so they didn't just make the playoffs but I know what you mean. The fans were with the warriors all the way.

T-mac has no other choice but to play right now. We don't know how his shoulder is going to reach until he starts playing regular season games.

The knee is something they'll have to look at day by day.

I don't think the shoulder is all that serious. But it's really important the knee is 100% by the time the season starts. I imagine he'll play very limited minutes in the preseason (that's what I would do anyway) and then RA will go from there.

I agree. The knee is a bigger problem but at least doctors expect it to be healthly by the start of the season. And that is a good thing about that, because knee injury slowed him down a lot last season...

I got no problem with that.

Antimac has no life whatsoever except to bad mouth Tmac. I am guessing 99.9% of his posts are on that one subject. Pretty damn disturbing and pathetic.

Option 2 b/c I would like him to continue to play with the team, keep conditioning up, etc.

    a healthy T-Mac = a efficient T-Mac, so option 3 is the best choice.

May be could put him on the bench during the first month.
And send him on the court when it is necessary.
But to be a $20million backup?
How luxury we are ~~~~ :)

If he's willing to scrimmage during the summer, practice during the season, play in the pre-season, play in the season, and play in the playoffs with this shoulder, then that should tell you that it certainly isn't very serious.

90% of NBA players probably have some injury that bothers them a little bit. The problem is, Tracy talks about them. He's talking about having surgery next off-season before this off-season is even over...

His knee should be fine by the beginning of the season, and his shoulder will be just fine for the season. If it wasn't, he wouldn't be playing. Relax people.
