out of all the people that are going criticize tmac, i respect jvg's take. the tmac bashing is still a bit much and this just adds fuel to the fire. why i respect jvg's take is because he gives credit where credit's due, unlike clutchfans.

what he did on the court was still great though. i think he put everything he had on the court. off the court, however.... it's everyman's own choice on how much he works on his craft.

Maybe its just me, but I really dont see any of JVG/Morey's statements as a huge 'diss' on McGrady.

Realistically speaking, I doubt every star athlete is as a hard worker as many of us would tend to believe. It's just the nature of the beast, and I'm sure McGrady tried hard practices, we know he gave it his all for many seasons and performed admirably, and I dont think practicing harder wouldve inoculated him from the injury bug that inhibited these last few years of his career.

The reality of it is that McGrady found himself in difficult circumstances throughout his career. Subpar supporting casts not showing up in big games. Literally carrying his team on his shoulders to remain competitive. He might not have won a first round playoff game, but I doubt there's anything he could have done different to change that outcome.

Pretty much agree with everything. People saying Tracy wasnt a hard worker I just dont buy into at all. You dont go from avg 7 ppg to 32ppg without hard work.
