Your right The fact that he's coming off of major surgery and hasn't played basketball since Feb. has nothing to do w/ the limited minutes
Houston Trades: Tracy McGrady, Brian Cook, Jermaine Taylor and Shane Battier Houston Receives: Jermaine O'Neal, Rudy Fernandez and Daequan Cook Portland Trades: Andre Miller and Rudy Fernandez Portland Receives: Shane Battier and Jermaine Taylor Miami Trades: Jermaine O'Neal and Daequan Cook Miami Receives: Tracy McGrady, Brian Cook and Andre Miller
Are you a fan of McGrady or the Rockets? If we can get something better in the long term in a trade for him, then we should do it. Morey has loyalty only to the player(s) that produce the most wins.
T mac comes back on my birthday! And I have him on my fantasy team as well. Its becoming a glorious birthday. If tmac becomes anywhere close to what he was doing before he got hurt we should finish no less than 2nd in our division.
Short-term gain but no advantage in the long run. I do admit it will be better than McGrady playing who has no role on the Rockets in the future. This team won't go very far with J.O'Neal either. Tracy is coming back after even a longer time than O'Neal and is not likely to do well. That doesn't mean I want him to fail. If he plays 7 minutes in the 1st half,he isn't likely to do much anyway, although it's perfectly understandable why RA wants to go very slowly with him.
although this works financially for everyone, i dont see why morey gets rid of battier for an offensive player in fernandez who by the way i think is overrated , and brings in a big man with health issues in oneal, makes no sense on the rockets part. good post though.
"It’s just everything I went through last year and what it really took this off season to get back, to put myself in a position to be on the team, to be with these guys that I love so much, it’s a great feeling, man," McGrady said. "It’s a very humbling feeling. My career definitely could have been over with the type of surgery that I had. The work that I put in, it’s good to be back.
