It was only 4 7 footers, with francis as I recall, Dirk wanted to go in as the 5th, but it didnt happen...

    Yao
    Shaq
    KG
    Duncan
    Steve

    if i recall correctly...

maybe that was the year b4 this one tho.

I meant 2002-2003 ASG, not the one earlier this year.

I love how the Francis only fans have their bowels in an uproar over the slight possiblity of a Francis for McGrady trade. Steve plays like crap all year long, turns the ball over left & right, has one of the worst A/TO ratios of any player in the NBA (1.81), has no clue what he's going to do when he brings the ball up, repeatedly goes one on one with the opposing PG, & all the FOF's can use to defend their position is, he stepped it up in the playoffs.

Whoop-d-do! He showed up to play for 5 games on a national stage. I'd call that typical Steve. Turn the lights off & he becomes the same player we saw all year long.

By the way FOF's, guess what Steve's A/TO ratio was in the playoffs. That's right (1.81). 13 PG's finished the playoffs with a better A/TO ratio than little Stevie. Well, at least we can say he's consistent.

Correction: I was wrong, Steve's A/TO ratio during the regular season was (1.67). I guess the FOF's are right, he did step it up in the playoffs. His scoring went up 2.6 ppg, A/TO ratio went up .14, & his rebounding went up 2.9 rpg. Maybe he wants to be our new PF.

how old are you okthom? i'm just wondering because you seem like one of these new generation basketball fans that blindly supports a player just because they can make the flashy plays and has nothing else going for him. and when we try to make valid points against a player, you bring up something that is irrelevent...15/5/5? so what? do you seriously think that francis can carry his team like O, Magic or even Hill did?

I'm a huge francis fan and wil continue to support him as long as he plays on this team. However as much as I like and respect him, he is no McGrady. Trading Francis for McGrady would be a no brainer as far as I'm concerened.

In 2002-2003 Steve played PG with Shaq, Duncan, Yao, and KG. Dirk said in his halftime interview that he would have loved to play the point, but there were never five seven footers (on the same team) on the floor in the ASG in Atlanta (or LA)

No doubt. McGrady (as I said before) is like a younger, better-Pippen, that will absolutely compliment Yao Ming as our two main cogs...

I like and admire Steve, but this enticement is too good to pass...

If this has not already been said, I think Houston offers McGrady exactly what he wants.

Yao will give him the big man support he needs. But, Yao does not seek the spotlight. Indeed, he nearly shuns it.

TMac would be the guy that is interviewed after big games. He could take a lot of shots and would not have a Shaq complaining about being ignored. Yao would not come out (ala shaq) and say that TMac woudl be nothign without him

If the Rockets win a championship, he would be given equal if not more credit than Yao. The money will be there regardless of where he chooses. But where else can he go to get everything that he wants?

i do believe it is a free country. the kid can talk how he wants.

some talk proper english and still sound like jacka$$es.
who cares? next, youll start running around being a spellining cop...

it doesn't change the fact that there is plenty to think about, the t-mac decision is not necessarily a no brainer.

    but...
what if orlando does let us keep steve? hear me out.
tracy has 1 yr till he can opt out if no extension. what if orlando just wants to get something for mac before he takes off after next year and get nothing?

or it could all be garbage...

    i just dunno...
chronic back problems are NOT good at 23...

Thinking that Orlando would give up T-Mac for garbage isn't good either.

    No Way it happens.

    Hey,

Huge rockets fan here.... so disappointed with the outcome of last season.... i for one, think that change is needed for us to return to our glory days of '93-'94, '94-'95..... BUT, is TMAC really the solution??? he is definitely one of the best players in the nba, and i love watching him play... but wouldnt a hard nosed power forward compliment Yao more than Tmac??? i think if we trade stevie, we should check out all of our options.... like... why not try steve for elton brand??? ive been reading that that clippers are looking at that pfn the draft, so they might wanna unload brand.... i dont know, i think yao/brand would be more dominate than yao/tmac..... and the yao/brand is more fitting in the van gundy system... which i am a huge fan of.... just a few ideas.... what im really concerned with right now is andy pettitte... that dude needs to get healthy.... cause the stros are looking very mediocre right now.... damn h-town sport teams... we always have good teams, but not GREAT teams.... peace
