It's good to see McGrady helping out a team mate but he isn't going to show Dorsey anything that CD and Jack Sikma have not already covered. I don't see any reason to bash McGrady here. I also think if you believe Dorsey is going to become a serviceable NBA player you don't know much about basketball.

So, you think Tmac doesn't know much about basketball...

lol, trying to stir the pot?

Just because he's helping a brother out doesn't mean he's delusional.

Why do people get mad just because Tmac wants to help out Dorsey with some post moves. Who cares. Dorsey and Mcgrady are teammates, and Tmac has one of the best post moves in the league.

So what if Dorsey won't play, but maybe if Tmac show him some good advice, maybe he get his chance. Some players need more help than others. So in this case, Dorsey needs help on his post moves so Tmac is the one to help. I really don't understand why people would criticized Tmac for helping out Dorsey and complaining that he should help other players instead. This is getting out of hand.

Dorsey is a good rebounder and he just need a chance and some pointers. So Tmac is generous enough to lend a helping hand. Lets say you are playing for the Rockets and you need help with your post moves and you know you're not on the rotation, you will still want someone to give you an advice and help you out. Just because he is not in the rotation doesn't mean that he does not need to work out on anything and just sit around and not try to improve on something. That's why he has to try to work on his post moves. Players that are not in the rotation have to work harder than others because they are trying to crack the rotation. So I'm guessing that some of you think that just because a player is not on the rotation means that they don't have to do anything like improving their game.

The bashing is really getting out of hand. A true Rockets fan would support this to the fullest because Tmac is taking the time out to help a younger player that is willing to learn more and trying to improve his game. It does not matter whether he is in the rotation or not, as long as he is trying to improve himself because that's all it matters. I rather have young players on our team that tries to improve their game rather than having young players on this team that don't really care because they're not on the rotation.

One of Tmac strength is his post moves. He is at best when he's in the post. Do you ever watch him play? He is a great post player like Kobe. When he's in the post, he is much harder to stop.

    I'm confused.

If TMac was helping out Pops, would you then argue about how TMac should help Dorsey, because he needs the help, and Pops doesn't?

    GTFO the anti-McGrady hate train.

Are you reading what you write? MOREY, our freakin' GM, believes Dorsey is going to become a serviceable NBA player or else he wouldn't have drafted him, not to mention holding on to him. I guess you know more than the Wizard.

If you miss an entire season of basketball youre not gonna be anywhere near to where you were. People have no patience. Joey Dorsey is a great player he just needs development and time to adjust.

jopatmc, I'm sorry to say this because I respect you as a poster around here, but this is downright pathetic.

T-Mac observes a teammate that needs help with some parts of his game and offers advice. Now he's helping the wrong teammates? Are you serious? I know what you're trying to say, and I'm telling you that you are being totally unreasonable and illogical. Suppose it had been Jack Sikma who was offering Dorsey advice instead of McGrady. Would you then say that Jack Sikma is "r****ded" for focusing his coaching efforts on the wrong player?

    Come on man. Seriously.

by your logic this means we would see MORE players in the nba if they just relied on talent and not hard work. Heck bring in the street ball players. They got talent. Anybody else here think they can survive 13 yrs in the nba without working hard?

Are you kidding me? That is one of Tmac's strength. His post is one of his strongest link. If not, then tell me other than his post moves, where do he gets most his points and what is his strongest part of his game?

I've been watching Tmac since he was back in Toronto. When he started to emerge into a superstar, he was mostly attacking the basket of the dribble and shoot long jumpers. As season progresses, he slowly started attacking from the post and he was really good at it. His length gave him the advantage plus his athletic ability. So I am sticking to my point, Tmac's strongest part of his game is his post offense.

I did not say anything close what you assumed. A lot of guys here don't credit Tmac for his hard work he spent. I just said players who are naturally talented tend to get lazy sometimes, not always competing. And Tmac was not the only one who did that. We all hope he'll reflect on that.
