true, but we'll see him himself when he starts getting on the court. the first sight of him jumping/running the break/attacking the basket, we'll see whether we can actually take his words this time. last year, although he gets in better shape each time he takes time of, he still didn't move/jump/cut well.
Some people are going to find the negative with TMac no matter what. He deserves plenty of criticism, but for a player who has this sort of potential, I'm willing to give him another chance. We're already paying him. Why not hope for the best and if it doesn't work out....it's over at the end of the year.
Really? I am worse when I point out how these things throw gasoline on fire? We don't need any more "revealing thoughts" about what Chronicle emmeffers think about McGrady. So what if it's an SI or a CNN article? IT MAKES IT WORSE. Stop posting crap. Cheer the team on. Yes, I b****. Yes, I nit-pick. So stop posting garbage about our PLAYERS. Whether they're good or bad, stop making it worse. You could offer something else other than what "experts" know on McGrady. Just admit that you want to be the first one to post something the Chronicle or these writers say about our team. And don't call me "bro" anymore, please... STOP THE HATE THREADS NOW.
What makes you think you can tell people to stop doing anything? If you don't like the thread, don't read/reply to it. I'll bet half of your replies have to do with misspelled words or grammar mistakes. You're not king s**t over this site, last time I checked there was only one administrator. Give it a rest, and stop crying all the time, bro.
why wouldnt mac go back to chicago and train with grover? i read some where that kobe flew to train w/ grover between games in the playoffs to make sure he was tip top. i just hope "the glow" is still there come december!
It's possible that he wants to be with the team despite being unable to practice with them. I assume he will continue to do rehab as prescribed by Grover and the doctors but now add in more basketball related things into his training. I'm looking at his return to Houston as a good thing. I'm sure he wouldn't just drop his rehab with Tim Grover unless he had Grover's approval and continued support. I think it's a good sign if we see him on the bench at preseason games and on the sidelines (or in the gym) while his team mates practice.
That's so true. I think the rehab with Grover is just already done, that's all he could do. What I mean by that, is that all those exercices were to kinda 'rebuild' the knee. They were doing it to reinforce all those muscles around the knee and cartilage so that he can easily run and do basketball skills. Remember, but the strength in his knee last season was one of the major reasons why he struggled. So in my opinion, Grover cannot help much now. He has done a lot but he is not basketball specialist and now it is time for McGrady to focus on basketball, his conditioning, etc. The main part was done by Tim and he has done it very well I guess.
Well, his knee pretty much gave out on him. He did the surgery and hopefully this will help and get him going pain free.
The problem was after those 2-week rehabilitations which he took twice, his knee probably really felt great. He pretty much usually played well after rest and than after 2-3 games it gave up on him. That's what happend in my opinion.
Yep, he played pretty good right when he came back playing but after playing on it too much, he got the pain back. Hopefully this surgery he just had gives him a full recovery.
there are a few people on this bbs I would rather have be my "bbs friend" than my "bbs enemy" SwoLy-D is one of those people. (oh and for future reference there are more than 1 Moderator in the GARM) as for the point being discussed by both of you I am split down the middle...If the article contained any new information that wasnt in a previous Media Day thread then fine post it whether or not it contains a positive/negative point of McGrady is irrelevant. But if the info has already been summarized and this is a rehash IMO its better not to post it as its own thread and could have been put in one of the numerous McGrady threads since at least in this case (and most McGrady articles of late) its just going to spur a poo flinging fest between Tmac Lovers and Haters and takes the focus off of what most of us are here for, and thats the Rockets as a TEAM not as a single player. all of this is of course just IMO
Believe me, I respect your opinion, that's what this is all about, opinion's. All I did was post a new article about T-mac, I don't know what his problem was. I guess, he might have been having a bad day.
maybe next time, tmac should just say: i just got off from surgery on my knee and my shoulder. i feel good but dont expect too much from me.
He needs to keep working out. I want to see him in his 2005 form again. Needs to stay motivated and focused and prepared. I don't care about pushing it so much on a loosing team just to put up big numbers for a fat contract. He needs to be determined to make a strong push into the following season. Resign him and he needs to keep training during the whole off season and be ready to play out the years left in a new contract in much better stride then the previous one. Jordan was able to increase his mental approach and game entering his 30's.
