He couldn't be any worse than Ensberg, Lane, Ausmus or Everett.

Umm...if working with a company meant that I was planning on staying with them for the rest of my life, then yah, that analogy would make sense. Otherwise, its a stupid analogy. I go into dating desiring a marriage. I don't start working for someone expecting to stay with them until I die. Totally different type of relationship.

Your analogy doesn't make any sense. If you work for some company and make comments to media that your next dream job will be hopefully one of your current company's competitors, I am sure your ass will be kicked out in no time.
As a matter of fact, noone in my company is stupid enough to make such a comment.
Yes, few people work for one company for his/her entire life, but you look for better job quitely.

Did anyone think the Rockets' window for a Championship goes beyond the end of Tmac's contract?

It doesn't. Why are we worried what our players might or might not do years from now? It has no effect on this season or next season or the season after. If we don't win rings by 2010 then this team isn't going to win them at all so who cares what Tmac or Battier do?

Yah, this would make a lot of sense if baseball was the Rocket's competitor. Too bad baseball isn't a basketball team. As a worker, you have every right to express a desire to do something else in the future. As long as you do your job when you are working for your current company, what you desire to do in the future doesn't really matter.
