You know what. I'm happy McGrady is in Motown.

    1. He can improve his shooting by working with Stevie Wonder.

Instead of "Part Time Lover", he's "Part Time Player"

    2. When they announce him, they can play this famous Commodore's hit

    3. He can think he's still "Tracy in Orlando" to his great song

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Hp42GN4ZLgA?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Hp42GN4ZLgA?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

    4. Maybe on the days when he doesn't DNP, he'll roll up to the arena and they'll blast

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_lLPBS4Qgqo?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_lLPBS4Qgqo?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

    5. or maybe they just see more of "BEN" (Gordon)

I haven't kept up with much NBA news lately, outside of the Rockets.
Has Tracy even played in the pre?
Or are they not playing him until the actual season?

If Tracy went to North Korea, they'd rename the border, the DNP

how the heck did tmac quit on the team? sure, he was injured and tried to play injured (and played horribly i might add) but i dont ever think he quit on the rockets.

the dude played all out with a bum shoulder and knee vs the jazz and was still the best player on the team. it's not his fault yao couldnt catch a damn rebound to save his life in those final minutes of game 7. it's not his fault that boozer/okur was completely raping our front court.

he happened to get a career altering injury/surgery during his highest paid years, im not gonna hate him for that. he was the biggest factor in us even being competitive vs the jazz/mavericks those playoff runs and fans are so quick to forget that, without him, we'd still be in the steve francis era.... with no real playoff chance.

not only do i believe the hate is so unjustified, i think you guys look to bash tmac any chance you get.... how else would a player elicit 8+ pages every time his name is mentioned? and in those 8 pages, it's bashing everything he's done as a rocket without even giving props for the good things he's done for us (and im not talking about kmart)

I think he would be in a better situation right now health wise if we shut him down when Yao was out with the injury...

You quit on the team when you are standing by the half court line, while the rest of the team is playing defense.

McGrady quit on the Rockets last season, when Adelman gave him 8 minutes. He felt Adelman was mistreating him, but when the Pistons give him DNP and they are helping him recover.

Rockets tried to limit his minutes to 8 a game, but McGrady asked for a trade. The Knicks gave him more minutes initially, and it looks like T-Mac got worse . He should have stayed with the 8 minutes or shut it down completely.

lol, there's a reason why tmac went from being loved by most rockets fans, to being hated by most.

    unjustified? come on.

When they asked him to play limited minutes and come back slowly he said no and literally quit. WTF are you talking about?

@ the toronto game: id say that's him not physically being able to do the things he wants to do, not quitting. but it could go either way so i really wouldnt want to argue this point since i feel it could be argued either way. i dont have all the facts for this game but im tempted to say ppl's memories on this game is a bit skewed

@ quitting after being asked to take 8min/game: you know, i know, and everyone else knows this was a ploy by the rockets to keep tmac's value from dropping any further. HE WANTED TO PLAY FOR FCKS SAKE. how is that quitting? want another example of the rockets using smart business? see lowry/landry's contract situation.
when he didnt get what he wanted, the rockets and tmac decided that he wouldnt play anymore since, from tmac's perspective, he wasnt going to get what he want and, from the rockets' perspective, they are guaranteed that tmac wont get injured again and lose value. he didnt quit on the team.

i liken this to dallas fans (or any fan in general) calling dirk a choker or soft or unclutch, when he is most definitely clutch and a great offensive player. essentially, myopic views of a certain player with half-stories backing it up.

how was it a ploy by the Rockets but not a ploy by the Knicks and Pistons to take him out of games completely? He quit on the Rockets, but you don't see him telling the Pistons and Knicks to sit him or give him more minutes.

what? dont really get what youre saying. he wanted to play more than 8mins, how is that quitting on a team when he's working out/wanting to play more mins? (and the knicks were trying to unload jeffries + they didnt give two ****s who/how well they played last year)

why would the rockets not want him to play more than 8min? because he doesnt fit well with the team? that's a large part of it. want to know a larger part? they were looking to move him for max value and not letting him get injured again is a big part of that... why else would they approve of him not playing at all?

aka tmac wasnt going to get more minutes and rockets didnt want to give him more minutes (b/c he didnt fit or didnt want him injured) so they both decided not to have him in games.

Seriously... why does anyone even talk about this first round cherry? Houston is not the first team T-Mac has issues with, nor will it be the last. Same with his mouth and health. No matter where he goes, T-Mac's mouth will jabber on and his health will continue to take him in and out of games. Until he shuts the **** up and plays his diminished and given role, he will always remain T-Slack or T-Wack in my book.

Guess how many minutes T-Mac has played for Detroit. It must be a Dumars ploy to keep his value high.

Ya was wondering the same thing....it said on the box score on nba.com that it was DNP REST? He was resting what? injured again just just decided to take the night off. I would be assuming that seeing its preseason, most of the players are pretty rested already :)

I wish I could say something about this.... Long story short, this is more one sided than you'd think.
