Dude! He looks good. We're getting 50 wins guys. Honestly, I think this is the year McGrady gets out of the 1st round. This is the 1st time I've had this gut feeling and I really hope it happens.
My/This post has no substance, but I really don't care. That interview seemed pretty truthful to me; not about his commitment to the team, but that he is working his butt off to get back playing properly.

DD's theory is definitely being validated by this interview

Apples and oranges my friend. T-Mac is coming off of micro surgery, and clearly has been working his behind off this summer. Even without this video/report, Feigen has made it pretty clear this is the case.

These are words I personally needed to hear, because we'll NEED him to reach the playoffs.

I can already see it. T-Mac will garner MVP votes and win NBA Comeback Player of the Year, and he'll carry the Rockets in the playoffs, just in time for Yao to comeback and dominate Howard like he always does - only this time, in the NBA Finals! :D

That's why Ron is gone and McGrady should be too.

I believe him. You should too. He is a Rocket after all. Everyone deserves a second chance. What do we have to lose? Everyone is assuming we're a lottery team now. Won't hurt to see what T-Mac has left. And oh yeah, T-Mac won't be traded and he will be back to an elite player.

Just think of that team. If (yes I know, I'm starting with an 'if') McGrady is as good as he expects to be, man, we are in for some fun basketball. All of our player positions have at least one player that can score in the paint (except the C), and Anderson will likely hit open jumpshots that people will find for him.
The Rockets are still going to be pretty good next year.

After watching that interview, I am really excited. I've hated Tmac but I don't know if I can truly hate someone that I once loved.

Lol. your next post should be 'no homo'
But I empathize with the excitement. I'm sure the majority of people on here do too.

A minute a go you were saying he's going to be worse than last year. You don't think he will have at least one game next year of 30 points (which he did last year)?

I'm tired of listening to all this crap. You guys that can't understand that someone that's hurt isn't able to play well. Instead we have to listen to all the BS about heart and stuff that is so bogus. It gets really tiring.

Now, I don't know if he's ever going to be the elite player he use to be, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I do accept that he has been hurt. (You don't have major surgery wise-asses if you won't.) The heart angle so many of you seem to have adopted is a joke and pathetic. I do think he will have a game over 30. That doesn't matter though, what does is if he can play well and help the team night in and night out. I think and hope that he can and if he is truly healthy then I think he can very much do so.

Also I think everyone has written the Rockets off way too early. Haven't played a game yet or even set the roster. The team isn't that bad even without our superstars (ask the Lakers) and will put up a fight I expect every night. Tracy will be back as well though, so hope for the best and it might be a much better season that some of you and the media seems to think. I bet Morey kind of loves the lowered expectations and is actually playing into that now, but imagine he is hopeful to way overachieve.

I hope he keeps up his words at least this team. we have been subjected to too much verbiage from McGrady in the past two years.. he has kept up none of his promises.

If he comes back.. we can definitely make a push into the playoffs.

I think if Mcgrady actually comes back to his all star days this season, the Rockets organization most likely end up wanting to sign him again. But i don't know if that will be a good thing or bad thing. After all he is mcgrady :(

Wow thats great Tmac. You look good big guy. Keep up the hard work. I would rather keep Tmac over Yao if this is all true. Yao is definately the undependable one with his injuries. Athletes have at least proven they can come back from Tmacs injury but Yaos is pretty final and career not ending but definately shortening and lessening of the player. I would love for Tmac to be a part of the Rockets again if he can make it through. After all who is realistically come to the Rockets in the 2010 season that is better than Tmac? Maybe he could come back and Yao could get traded for Bosh or someone good? That would be better especially if Tmac takes a lesser contract to get players here. Maybe something in around what Hedo Turkoglu got to resign Tmac and then either try again with Yao or move on because I dont see it as good for letting Tmac go unless we can replace him with a Joe Johnson or D wade. There isnt anyone better if he returns to form out there.

Eh? In a matter of a few hours, he goes from saying he'll be back after the all star break to saying he'll start the season. Makes me skeptical it's really his.

I used to have his old twitter account but I'm having trouble finding it.

    Maybe he deleted it?

Your right though, it may not be his especially with this post:

This is to all my fans: I WILL start the season and I WILL be a solid player

I don't see McGrady ever saying that especially SOLID.

I am not sure what TMac will be able to do but it looks like he will be a Rocket this season. I don't want to wait till after the AllStar break to find out what TMac has left, if he is serious I want to see him start off the season playing in the first game.
