If TMAC needed the surgery all along (very possible), then no, he couldn't have done everything he's doing now. I find Tim Grover's comments very encouraging. It's easy to throw away TMAC's comments, but if Grover is reaffirming them, that carries some weight and makes me inclined to believe that TMAC isn't just BS'ing.
He dug himself in a deep hole a long time ago. 100 feet deep actually. He's gonna have a tough time getting out.
We've all heard and read the rumors that Tracy and Ron hated each other, now that Ron is gone, I think Tracy will try and be more active on the court because he won't have to fight anyone for being the "star" on the team. Though imo, the other guys who played so hard during the playoffs are the real stars. Those guys pay with so much heart.
Don't know why this guy opens his mouth so much, he never comes through on anything he says, its quite funny. However this being a contract year, I'm sure he finally is giving a crap about getting in shape, and will probably try to come back and make another run for a max contract. I wish him good luck, yet I can't wait until he leaves the Rockets.
Not really, if he comes out and plays like he did pre-injury, the fans will forgive him. That's just the way it works.
He might miss 20-30 games and then take a lot of games to get going or get hurt again. He might have a couple of 20 plus games, and then proclaim that he is back. I'm not a hater, wish him well but I'm skeptical.
Already last year, a hobbled Tmac was able to put up a 30 point game, had at least one triple-double game, and still had the capability of making acrobatic reverse layups. It's a completely realistic idea to think that Tmac can have a bounce back season. An injured McGrady is already better than most players in the league. But it's a idealistic idea to think he will still be able to jump like he did in Toronto. And to say that he can be "elite" is stretching it too.
Didn't he said kind of the samething when he took his 2 week rehab while during the season? Man he's full of bull.
I don't think he was rehabbing, just resting the knee because it was giving him problems. Some thinks need rest to heel. Other things, like TMAC's knee and Yao's foot, need surgery.
I can cut Yao some slack. Regardless of his injuries he performs. T-mac on the other hand doesn't. At least not consistantly. I can't remember the last time when a "superstar" had a stretch of games where he only average about 6 points.
