Am I the only one that thinks he come across extremely strangely when the reporter asked "more in general, do you think you'll be back the 2nd half of the season, at least? help us out here", and McGrady's response was "I guarantee you that I will be back in a jersey this season. I guarantee that." Exactly what kind of response is that?
I just think he's not too sure when he's exactly want to come back and he'd hate to put a date out and not be ready. Then it would be T-Mac Bashing V2.0
He doesn't want to do what he did last year. If he knows he's ready, he'll play. I think he's really pushing to play by the first regular season game. I would love for him to be ready by training camp to play some preseason games.
I have been a Rockets fan for over 20 years and i am tired of all of this crap. Doesn't matter if it's T-mac or Yao, both have their haters. I have lived in a lot of other cities as well, including Philly and NYC - and know how it goes with players and their fans. Let me tell you something - the drama you have from t-mac and yao is just really injuries - THAT's it. yes, their injuries affect other things...and in t-mac's case, he doesn't handle them well. But, they are not bad people, they do work hard, and they are very good basketball players. They have their flaws. For sure. But man, overall, we're not that unlucky. We have to stop crying our fate as doom. Relatively speaking. to even have a team that has a CHANCE of winning it all - you have to be happy. Look at all the other cities, many of them with bigger markets - and long long droughts. So can we please just at least hold our tongue and take a WAIT AND SEE approach? Why is this so hard? Doesn't it get old? Sorry, that's my rant for the week
