Yeah a lazy bum who makes bum players better. A lazy bum who raises his game in games when it matters. A lazy bum who is on cruise control during the season but goes all out in the playoffs when games really matter. Don't call him a bum because other teammates are out of gas because they give it their all in the season and disappear in the playoffs.

Funny how people change on a guy who gets hurt. Are you going to bash Yao this season because he isn't on the court. Shame on Yao for not fighting that damn ankle toe or whatever the hell is wrong with him to play for the Rockets. Yao has no heart because he isn't giving his all to be with the Rockets this season.

Yao sucked it up and put himself back in the game. Tracy called his friend Stevie and said he didn't wanna play anymore.

Alrighty then.......so if you say that Tracy is going to come back strong, average 30 pts a game and lead us to the championship this season and I say that we probably won't make it out of the 1st round if he does that (going off of history) and your response is to say I need to STFU and that I'm a hater, which one of us has the issue?

Man if we are talking about Tracy's big contract and how he don't deserve it, I wonder what do the Wizards fans say about Arenas and his crazy contract

The thing is, I do not believe Tracy Mcgrady will be good this upcoming season. And he probably will face another first-round exit... :/

    Nice try though...

In order for McGrady to return to elite status, he has to do a few things differently.

    1. Move off the ball
    2. Do not complain when others have the ball
    3. Shoot higher than 44% from the floor
    4. Shoot FT% higher than 75%
    5. Commit to playing defense

If he can do all of those things he can be an elite player, but in my opinion he was not an elite player before the injuries these last couple of years, he was a GOOD player, but his lack of efficiency brings him down below the Kobe, Lebron, Wade, etc...level.

    Just my .02......

you already said he's not going to be as good as last yr, so how do we get into the first round if tracy plays as bad as last yr?

ok let someone kick you in your knee or do whatever to make it sore and let me see if you can run up and down a court. Let me see you do the things you know your capable of.

He told SAS and not his own team yeah that was wrong but if a guy can't play a guy can't play. Yao sucking it up and putting himself back in the game cost his ***** a whole season. There are times when you can be brave and have heart and there is a time to be smart.

    Off of our role-players...
Superstars don't make or break the playoffs. :/

kobe/lebron/wade... were all-nba 1st teamers worthy. tracy was 3rd-team. obviously his lack of efficiency put him down there. but 3rd-team all-nba is more than a "good" player.

but i agree with you. tracy has to change his style of game if he wants to prolong his career and be more effective. seeing what he practices in that vid (cuts/shoots off catches/post ups) are encouraging.

    1) superstars DO make/break the playoffs. i think we have a good chance of making it without yao/tracy b/c i think aaron brooks will elevate his game to near star status

    2) tracy playing like last yr will eliminate any chance we have of making the playoffs.

I agree with that, if he can come in and adapt to the read and react offense and play without the ball in his hands, and get comfortable doing that, he could be effective if his knee holds up.

However, his way of playing only works if you are an elite level scorer, and he has not been that in years.....he is more in the Allen Iverson -shoots more- type of scorer.

    Efficiency is king.

So if a team has no superstars, they automatically don't make the playoffs?

You might want to tell that to the Pistons or the Bulls. Maybe you want to ask the 76ers as well.

    1) the pistons had 3-4 all-stars. that more than equals a superstar no?
    2) the bulls had derrick rose? a future superstar?
    3) andre iguodala anyone?

the last 2 are not superstars, but they're stars. they're not "role players." VERY RARELY a team of just "role players" make the playoffs.

like i said, the reason i believe in this team is b/c of brooks' potential. he can be a 20ppg scorer.

    M.J. and Kobe... D -Wade.......

The problem is that Tracy hasn't deserved to be mentioned in that company for quite awhile now.

And even at a decent % of what he was,Tracy still has problems between the ears and inside his chest.

The assists/ability to get in the lane/court vision is why I mentioned him being a facilitator but again it's not cost effective and he doesn't have the mindset for it.Now if he could finish in traffic like he used to then that would change things dramatically.
