Given t-mac's history of coming back from injuries too soon don't you think it's more plausible that Morey wants to make sure t-mac is healthy and comes back in a way that won't further tarnish his image?
Sure it is, all of it is plausible. Just as plausible as the nebulous November 23rd date being irrelevent is plausible. DD
I don't see any clarification with the emphasis on "believe". You still think he is ready because HE said he is. Just a year ago you called BS on everything HE said about requiring a surgery. If you never took his word for it before, why now all of a sudden?
They'll get him into shape by making him gradually pickup the intensity at training once he is allowed to to go full out in practise. once he gets into game shape he'll be back then. thats why i think he'll be back probaly 3 or so weeks after the MRI on monday.
Since his contract is expiring, I have no problem with the team putting him in there and finding out what they have. If he is not ready, fine....so what, then they know they have an expiring contract. If he is ready, maybe another team wants him.....or the Rockets find out if he fits and will adjust his game. If he no longer has the explosiveness and is done....finding out is better there too. DD
The problem with this is that teams do not have a LOT of practices during the season, they have a lot of film sessions and shoot arounds, but not many practices. So, I am wondering how they get him in game shape, without putting him in some games. DD
One thing this has proven is that my history on Tmac forces his supporters to come in assuming a continuation of a previous argument. I am looking at you ! Sweet Lou 4 2 T-Mac1 flamingdts Jeff Who lavrs8 Now all we need is Elpigto to show up and make it a complete party. DD
But they have personal trainers dont they? tmac can allways put in the extra work once the rest of the team is gone after practise with the trainers and coaches. things like full court drills. he'll get the the normal practises to get familiar with he's teammates and afterwards they will push him harder.
Yeah, I think they are already doing that, but nothing gets you in basketball shape better than actually playing the game..... And the chemistry with his teamates is better when they are on the court too..... DD
If that is what you believe, then why not wait until the organization flashes the green light? Why are you so eager to put a known injury prone in a lineup with a playing style he has never experienced before? Like you said, if he is not ready, we have ourselves a nice expiring. If he is, we have ourselves a nice piece on the team or for a trade. If we wait until the organization labels him as truly ready, we can accurately confirm his value on the team and in the market. We can't do that if the McGrady that shows up is not even ready.
What this has proven is that you enjoy labeling people who disagrees with you. If you can't win the argument, insult the person. This is something you yourself said. At least I don't contradict myself to prove a point.
Don't get me wrong, it it were up to me, I would have traded him already...I don't want him on this team. I don't believe he fits at all, in any way, especially since this year is a developmental year. However, what I am saying is that it just seems fishy, he feels ready, he is doing some major drills on that knee, and clearly he is chomping at the bit to prove himself. I think this situation has the potential to get real ugly.......after the 23rd...... Good god, why? I don't want anyone jacking up bad shots. Thank you for proving my point...... I am not insulting anyone, I am saying that our history on the board and discussing McGrady makes it nearly impossible to have a reasonable conversation, because people leap to conclusions about what each other is saying. DD
T-Mac darn well better be ready to take a pay cut. I think his next contract will be three years, $8-10 mill/yr.
Ugh, really? Is that what you got out of it? REALLY? All these posts and you zero in on one guy who came back after 3 months...... LOL - that is funny. DD
