To be fair, it's not like TMAC doesn't have some injury issues....like....his back....knees....etc.

Coming back from his MF surgery is huge. He seems to be almost game ready, although really.....there' just one way to tell.

I just never want to see him rushed back, we all know what happens then....

    Go Rockets.

On his 610 call this AM, Morey mentioned that they wanted to see an MRI *after* a full practice while the knee is hot. They apparently want to see how it reacts to game conditions.

Frankly, I don't think its in Tracey's DNA to travel with the team when he is not playing. Dragging him around *is*, however, a good way to make sure the league gets a good look at him without putting him in game conditions and making the offensive adjustments to feature him.

I don't know anything, but I suspect they are trying to key a trade around the release of practice and MRI results. Basically they are creating a data trail demonstrating health rather than taking the risk of doing it in game.

    Oh stop and please read....

There is no hate, I am saying I think he is ready.....and so is HE !

All I am saying is I believe or rather it reads to me, like there is more going on from the organizations side.

Please don't assume things Lou.....try reading first.

That is an interesting way to put it.

I will tell you this much.

"If, after the first twenty minutes, you don't know who the sucker at the table is, it's you."

~David Levien and Brian Koppelman, Rounders

DM walks a very thin line here...

That may be smart. But I don't know what difference does 'hot' and 'cold' knee make, I am not a doctor.

But I am sure Tracy is talkig to his doctors and he is under their control all the time. So I don't expect enything wrong in the MRI.

When you have no one inside and you don't have a lot of finishers on the team - it's very hard to have a high shooting percentage because the defenses begin to focus on you.

The year after Shaq left the Lakers, Kobe shot 43% - only 1 percent higher than t-mac. Also, Kobe has won rings shooting 41% in the playoffs.

Your obsession with shooting percentage doesn't really tell the whole story.

portland announcers: tmac ran up and down the court once and was out of breath

that was just a few weeks ago. i'm sure tracy is ready to play. but is he ready to play EVERY game? at a HIGH level?

they don't want a repeat of last year where he went in and out. that would totally disrupt the team.

again, i think the team wants to trade him. but they want to get the right deal, which might not even happen at all. he'll play his first game here.

after 11/23, the team has to have a timetable b/c they will see him in practice. if they set a later date than anticipated, we'll know more.

See I think the 11/23 was something more, maybe an insurance date etc....

And once Tmac starts practicing, the timer will be running.

I think it might get ugly.

The only assumption that's being made is that the organization isn't letting T-mac play. Why would you even think that? Do you have a source?

If you do, share, if you don't, follow your wonderful advice and stop making these kinds of speculative assumptions.

I don't know, maybe today's podcast where DMorey says Tmac is not happy with the time table and wants to be playing?

T-Mac's been away from the game so long. Last season barely even counts. It's like two years now. However healthy he is, I am sure he is a long way from the intensity of Wade, LeBron, Kobe, etc etc. I think T-Mac's in kind of a Steve Francis situation and it's doubtful if he'll ever come back at near the same level. There is no way he is near the intensity of even the rest of the Rockets, frankly.

Good point, without training camp how does he get up to speed without hurting the team while getting in shape?

    Oh come on.

Last year when HE said he wanted a surgery, you didn't buy it. Now HE says he is fully prepared, and you're so quick to believe him?

You think McGrady is ready because he said he is?

I think he BELIEVES he is ready.....and while he may not be ready to start and play 30 minutes, yeah, I think he is ready to play some.

At some point it is sink or swim time......
